Help! 20 degrees, smart…

Help! I’m travelling to a work conference this weekend, near San Francisco. It will be about 20 degrees. I have NO idea what to wear. I’m currently in a jumper feeling a bit cold, and I can’t remember what 20 degrees is like. I want to buy some stuff today that will pack well. But is 20 degrees tights weather o not? Sorry, I ought to know, but I’m in a hot (cold) panic. I need to look in control since I have to manage a difficult group. I need to be smart, but not flashy. I think I’m placing all my anxieties on my outfits, argh! Ps I’m about a size 8-10 and about 5’3”, with a fat stomach and flabby thighs, thin lower legs (apple shape?).

Thanks all! I’m looking at black trousers, tops, jackets. I’d quite like to go all black, since it’s just so easy! And I have a lot of black. Black honestly suits me too, and makes me feel good, whatever Trinny and Susannah say (said). I also want to look a bit kick ass, since I’m short, and I need gravitas, and black somehow gives me confidence.

But I feel I should have a bit of colour somewhere. Maybe I look a bit too severe. I’m thinking tops with some colour, then black jacket/cardi things. I was a bit worried this would be too wintery if very sunny, but I take your points about the air con, and the fact that it’s English spring weather temp! I may also pack some lightweight emergency dresses. Or maybe that’s silly. No need. Plus, I want everything to work together. Argh. I really need to get packing, I only need 5 outfits, plus stuff to travel in. Thanks again! And thanks about the jump suit mention, I might look into this for when I’m back. Dressing as an apple is not the easiest sometimes!
