Make up for older skin

Hi
Any suggestions for a good makeup brand suitable for sensitive skin that can help me pretend I don't have wrinkles?

I've been using Lily Lolo for so long and it's been fantastic but suddenly now, I'm finding every line and wrinkle is getting magnified. It's possible it's the way I apply it alongside the fact that I obviously AM somewhat older but I'm wondering if it's the powder just being a bit too 'dry' for me.

I've used it for so long though, I don't know where else to look. I remember I previously used Boots No 7 makeup but I switched to Lily Lolo when they altered their foundation shades and I couldn't find one close to my natural skin tone.

Thanks all

Gosh, didn't realise Lily Lolo was still going! I still have some of their pots but like you I hit the point where powder mineral foundation made me look like Miss Haversham.

I guess everyone's experience is different but I decided a while back (I'm early 50s) that makeup just is ageing, unfortunately. I wear a lot less now than I used to, and almost everything is either a liquid or a cream. I rarely wear foundation - if I do, it's very sheer and I apply it as sparingly as possible.

I use No 7 Hydraluminous foundation, Bobbi Brown cream blusher, IT Cosmetics or Bobbi Brown concealer, Chanel cream bronzer, liquid eyeliner and mascara. Eye shadows make me look 1000 years old, as do bright lipsticks.

I switched to cream everything (make up not the colour) and tend to use tinted moisturiser rather than foundation (number 7) and a good primer (I use Lift and illuminate by #7 and glass) no concealer as that made things worse, no powder and cream blush - as with @PacificState I find eye shadow aging but occasionally use a semi translucent grey/black cream one - and yes a bold lip colour

I had my makeup done by a MUA who recommended Nars foundation. It's miles better than ELDW which I was using previously.
Spendy though.

I find less is more as I get older. I like Nars tinted moisturiser.

Am 60 - seem to have "good" skin. Also a fan of tinted moisturiser with an SPF. I use Estée Lauder Everyday Wear & always use oil massaged in every night/sometimes morning if not in a rush. Aldi Lacura Rose Oil is beautiful & also Bodyshops facial oil

I definitely second previous poster on Nars Tinted moisturiser :-)

I use Trinny 'BFF'. I'm not sure what it is exactly, it's not a tinted moisturiser, it's a very light lotion that you dot on your face in the tiniest amounts and then rub in. It seems to even everything out and give me a sort of glow. A bit of mascara and some tinted lip balm and I'm good to go, at 45.

Thanks all. I'm going to look up all of these to see what might work for me.
I'm a bit worried about going down the tinted moisturiser route as I have terrible skin colouration, and am scared it won't help enough there, but I will definitely try it!

I'm not sure how old you are but for uneven skin tone I don't think you can't beat Clinique even better or even better glow. If you have dark spots or brown marks then a peach toned concealer is best as it neutralises the brown. I use Benefit Erase paste (no longer available) but if you google it you'll find a dupe. I also use a soft rose pink cream blusher, and natural taupe eyeshadow like Chanel les 4 ombres in Rivoli. Lipstick anything goes. I usually use a natural pink liner and than a mauve pink. I'm 44 knocking on 45 so middle aged.

Glossier, esp the skin tint

For reference I'm fair with dry and sensitive skin, flush easily and freckled with slight brown discolouration/sun damage but it's soft and the texture is good. My skin is in reasonably good shape regarding wrinkles.

Estee Lauder Futurist foundation is really lovely and dewy looking. I’ve recently switched from Double Wear and it’s made a big difference.
