HELP style me please. 47, size 20, 5ft5. Have completely lost my way.

Hello. I need some serious help from you stylish types.

My go- to daily wear is bright leggings (some have dinosaurs on), a navy t shirt and a hoody. Which is ok at home but not for meals out with work etc.

I have been ill for a long time, now in remission and have my mojo back. I’ve just started couch to 5k, feeling much better.

Please can you help me with a smart/casual work wardrobe? I need to feel comfy, the clothes need to wash and pack well, I don’t want to feel eighty but I have no idea where to start!

I had my colours done years ago and I am a bright winter.

Any ideas very very gratefully received!

Try peplum tops, slim fit jeans/trousers and boots

They have some really beautiful ones. These two are my next buys. If they suit me. 😁😉

I’m imagining looking all effortlessly chic in my wide leg linen trousers, Birkenstock sandals, navy vest top and kimono.

I suspect I might look a little more like I’ve dressed in curtains, but I am hoping this might be my new look! 🤪

You have a lovely shape! I particularly like the fit of the dress on the left! I think because it shows your waist off, so for anything with waist accentuation or high waisted (jeans, trousers, floating skirts you can match with a belted or peplum blouse!)

I got the blue willow throwover and a grey patterned one. Then from the 100 stars site I just ordered a green floral fern scarf!

I think you'll look amazing tbh! I'm quite short so thinking I'll style mine with plain leggings or jeans and longline, long sleeved tops. But I too may end up looking like a pair of curtains! Or a bag left behind the counter at a charity shop. We shall see!

I'm a size 18 and 5ft 4 and61 (but youthful looking) so that's a good look for me too

I look very similar body wise @SpringOn - I think leggings, flat knee length boots with a very small heel (my necker ones look great) and a wrap dress top with a deep v neckline and if colder a long cardi over the top

Some lovely ideas there @AG247 , thank you. Maybe it is finally time to change up my wardrobe and stop feeling like I have nothing to wear! And also maybe to stop feeling like my figure is un-dressable (if you know what I mean!)

Absolutely ! Try styles you haven’t done before and don’t hide too much behind a kaftan as lovely as they are - you have a great shape - show it off!

That's what I meant to say..I don't think you need to conceal your figure. You have a waist. I am a size 12 but don't have one.

Look at mollie campsie on Instagram, she is a size 16-18 and always looks really well put together with good ideas

I honestly think you look lovely in those dresses. The only thing I would say is that the shoes are too clumpy for your shape. I agree boots would be better or sandals in better weather, or any shoes that show more of your foot - pumps or ballet flats.
