Botox before and after

So I'm 38 and starting to consider botox but it would be a big expense for me so I'm wondering if anyone would share a before and after photo? Just foreheads!
Also does it change the shape of your face? Eyebrow placement?
Does it feel numb?
Thankyou 🖤

Hi I've been having it for about 13 years.
I have a heavy brow, one eyebrow higher than the other and my eyes are a bit hooded (sound like a peach Smile) she sorts the lot out.
I have brow lift Botox so I can still move my eyebrows and my eyes look lifted and fresher.
I also have between my eyes and crows feet done.

QueefQueen80s · 07/04/2023 10:59

@beforeafter Wow what an amazing difference! My forehead lines are like yours, I've had them since teens. Thanks for posting! Smile

I like my crows feet so will just go for 11s and lines

I’ve been getting it done about 8 years. I’m 38 now. I’ve started having problems with my eyebrows. Keep ending up with one higher than the other. Drives me mad and it pulls my eyelids slightly weirdly as well. I might just start having my crows feet done

It works and it wears off; I have no problem with having it.
Make sure you go to an actual MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL with insurance and not some young girl who has done a 2 day course.
I can’t remember which study it was but it was recent, Botox should be costing about £300-£400. If it’s 3 areas for £90 at the local beauty salon stay clear! X

Good advice with getting somebody properly trained , however I go to somebody medically trained. His day job is an eye surgeon, he charges £170 for 11s, forehead and crows feet. Always subtle and great results , so it's not necessary all that expensive.

I had it done for the first time 3 weeks ago and really pleased with the results. The doctor said she'd start off fairly light the first time and then I could see if I liked that or would prefer the full 'frozen' look, I've still got a fair range of movement around the eyebrows so I don't think it's too obvious - my husband hasn't noticed I've had it done!!

I was mainly concerned about the forehead lines but was told it was best to have the 11s done at the same time otherwise it it might look a bit uneven. Just have to wait now to see how long it all lasts!

@McAvennie Bloody hell that's amazing, and that's the unfrozen one?

I had it nearly 3 weeks ago for my ‘1’ line. It didn’t work at all. I went back for a top up on Monday and she used the same amount again, saying it would ‘freeze’ me. No chance. What a waste of money! I can still frown and the static line is still there. Pointless.

BotoxQn · 07/04/2023 18:46

And this was a medical professional (doctor) so not someone barely trained.

YouSetTheTone · 07/04/2023 18:59

Is there a site where you find the registered aesthetic practitioners?

Having sworn off any treatments I’m now moving towards the idea… (mid forties). For various reasons I’m not dyeing my hair at the moment so I’d like to balance out the greys around my face as they’re quite large sections now. I’m totally pro natural ageing so I feel guilty about this!
Would like it to be subtle but effective. No frozen face look.

I was too but I'm starting to look permanently pissed off with my 11s, and look older than some of my peers with their treatments so if you can't beat 'em..

For those of you who have had it done, how was the pain during treatment? Have you seen good results using Botox only or was it combination of Botox + Filler?

TheOGCCL · 08/04/2023 20:42

I have my 11s done about three times a year, it's amazing what a difference it makes to my whole face. I look fresher and happier. Not necessarily younger but just subtly better.

Imo the injections do not hurt at all. Tiny fine needles.

I've never had filler, I could do with my tear troughs done but I stop at my 11s. I think filler is where you can start to look a bit odd if it goes too far.

trickyfriendsone · 08/04/2023 21:46

@Cathyattie there's next to no "pain" during the treatment obviously its injections but the needle is tiny so it's barely even a scratch it's a very quick treatment.

I thought id need filler on my 11s and one stubborn line but Botox alone smoothed everything out

Cathyattie · 09/04/2023 12:21

@trickyfriendsone thanks! That's really helpful 🙂

TomAllenWife · 09/04/2023 20:24

My practitioner wouldn't do any fillers last week as I had a cold sore
So just had Botox, went out last night and saw someone I haven't seen for about 3 years
She said 'omg you look 20 years younger than when I saw you last, what are you doing' ? 😂

Mmm dunno about that…. A consultant dermatologist did mine and the price was about £150

Chuffing hell I need this 😂

I've been sat watching tele stretching my eyes open as I'm tired, then realised I was basically giving myself the forehead lines all night.. no wonder they are so prominent!

QueefQueen80s · 31/05/2023 12:40

Okay ladies so I went for it 😬
I have hormonal acne so ignore spots and redness. It was hard going out without makeup to cover it 😆
She's a proper dentist which I preferred over a beautician.
£230 for 11s and forehead lines including topup.
She did 7 painless jabs and should last 3-6 months.

Here is my Jim Carrey wrinkles just before she did it, and 20 mins later forehead already looks like this and I'm doing my best surprised face! Very chuffed 😊
11s not changed yet but will keep updated!

Hope this helps someone who is thinking about it. I'm 38 and not trying to look young, just not tired, grumpy and old before my time.

for some reason I find my forehead gets clearer off acne when I have Botox idk why.
the pp who gave the £300 to £400 advice I’d say that must be regional I have a Dr do mine for £220.

I love my botox. It reduces my migraines significantly and makes my skin all dewy.

Mine lasts about 6 months but did wear off quicker when I was running (sweating) a lot. I don't know if it was just a coincidence

I run a lot and it doesn't have any impact on my Botox, which lasts six months. Though I hate not being able to exercise for 48 hours after the injections, then the same a fortnight later.

My injector is great. A specialist doctor, no nurses or aestheticians! I am wrinkle free, on my forehead, but still have some movement. I don't like the frozen look as the skin has the texture of a tangerine with large pores visible if you look at frozen photos.

The beautician places charge from £170 here for three areas. Less for one area.
