Hair colour at home help

Can anyone help?
My hairdresser has just moved away and rather than find someone new I'm going to try colouring my roots at home.
She's told me the colour is 6/00 6%- this means absolutely nothing to me, can anyone point me in the direction of the right product online please?

It's a base 6, 6.0 or 6/00 probably wella kolestone and 20 volume peroxide. It will be a cream developer and best to use the one from the brand of colour.

You can get these from wholesalers or online.

I recommend 6 loreal inoa or 6.0 loreal inoa if you have especially stubborn white hair. 20 vol inoa peroxide. Mix using scales 1:1 ratio. Ie. 50grm colour : 50grm peroxide
Leave to develop for 35 mins rinse off using inoa shampoo or an oil based shampoo. You will also need a tint bowl and brush. Start application at crown and put a profile parting in then a radial parting (ear to ear, should look like a hot cross bun) then apply where you have the most white hair. Usually working through the front two quarters and then hairline. Careful to over lap on pre existing colour as it will cause bands. Tint should be applied in less than 20 mins for optimal results.

1 tube of colour per application and a bottle of peroxide will last you ages. The cost to buy in at first will be expensive. But you'll save money over time. Otherwise, just book into a salon the cost of regrowth tint and bd isn't a huge expense.

Good luck and try to stay away from box colour as that can hamper with having colour done in salon.

Thank you, that's really helpful.
I'm quite grey so touch up my roots every 5 weeks or so, hence starting to think it would be cheaper to do it myself anyway. I also come straight home and re wash it so having a blow dry is a waste of time yet most places insist on it.
I'll try to find the right products today and order- thanks
