Too skint for Botox? I’m using stickers that seem to be working!

I don’t think many people read my update after I posted a while ago about my deep 11s lines. I didn’t want to use Botox, for a whole host of reasons, including cost.”

Most of you thought Botox would really be the only thing that would work, but someone mentioned frownies, which are just stickers that you use overnight to try and ‘train’ your skin flatter, a bit like a retainer on teeth. I looked into it a bit more and found smoothies, which are essentially the same, but see through and had better reviews on Amazon. I’ve been using them most nights for a couple of weeks and I genuinely think they are working!!

You get 144 for £20 and you can reuse them, although I’ve only used them twice max as it’s a bit manky after a while.

This isn’t an ad, but I wanted to share in case anyone else could benefit.

I’m chuffed as I think I don’t look so cross anymore. Please don’t burst my bubble!

Let me know if anyone else has used these with success? Does it keep improving, or do you think this is as good as I’ll get?

No, they're really good. Wearing them overnight stops you frowning in your sleep. I have botox but they extend it by months.

Definitely the next best thing

I use these - I've never had botox. I don't think they're miracle workers, but they help to lessen the lines the next day. But they can leave a trace of the gum(?) they use behind, and that can lead to the lines being more prominent again when you've been laying on your pillow when you haven't used them. Saying that, I do recommend them, but they're a temporary fix. I use them the night before I'm going out somewhere and I'll definately re-order them. I also recommend silk pillowcases - they make such a difference to not waking up with all those overnight creases when you're older.

That’s a noticeable difference OP - mine look like the “before” picture but I don’t want to go down the Botox route so I might give these a try!

Could you post the link for them?

otherwayup · 05/04/2023 00:20

Yes, please share a link op!

AnyMucca · 05/04/2023 00:32

I think you're right, the crease on the left (your right) ontop of the brow is all but gone.

One of the good things about them is that they also help the lines not worsen as much over time.

I know this is an old thread but has anyone used them on sensitive skin? I like the look of these better than frownies but I’m worried about getting a reaction! Or can anyone recommend any in UK that are similar but good for sensitive skin?

Pitpatwaddlepat · 05/09/2023 15:41

I use these, I do break out if I wear them too often but nothing compared to how I reacted to the paper frownied

Magpiesalute · 06/09/2023 16:30

My skin isn’t particularly sensitive so I can’t advise I’m afraid.

I bought some and after about three days I ended up with a red patch where I’d used them, as well as peeling skin.
