Where?!!

She wants just a basic padded one. Sent for some from Next described as organic cotton and they had polyester lining ( not published on website)

All the ones I’ve seen are just vile. I wouldn’t wear them. Or there’s Julie May which is expensive but lovely. But not really aimed at teens. Why is this so hard?!

Sainsburys do a couple of versions (sorry can't do the link, technologically challenged🙄), although the ones I buy are not padded, more like a crop top but double thickness cotton. I have eczema and cannot stand the feeling of polyester/nylon/lace, everything has to be cotton🤷

Those H and M ones look promising. I’ll have a look at Sainsbury too.👍🏻

Try GAP. Or Tenzenis. I have eczema on my back and get them from those two. I don't generally specify cotton but they have some very soft bone itchy materials.

None* not none

Thanks for all the help, but I’m struggling to find an E cup. That’s what size she is, she really needs wires too.

I’ve tried M and S. They only do ‘cotton rich’ which has a fair amount of polyester in.

Wincing for your poor DD @ArseInTheCoOpWindow . I've had E cups and eczema. I can't help with all cotton underwired bras, but Balneum Plus cream helped my eczema. Any chance you could get her a dermatology referral? Phototherapy x2 weekly eventually cured mine. And then she would have a better choice of bras....

GrumpyPanda · 05/04/2023 15:15

I'd get her to reconsider the cotton if I were you OP. Key to managing eczema is keeping the area as dry as possible at all times, and cotton is horrible for getting moist with the slightest bit of sweating. (Yes, I know it's used post-mastectomy for sensitivity reasons.) I'd look for a really good sports bra in a wicking fabric, and also use some of those inserts to block up sweat.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/04/2023 22:32

She struggles with any man made fibre as do l. It’s not really about the sweating, although that’s part of it. It’s about the fact that all man made fibres are basically plastic rods. Even wicking fabrics are plastic but with tubes in.

It might be easier to find silk bras? But, that is a spendy option.

Op I'm E cup too and the ones from sainsburys are for D+, not underwired but very supportive so doubt would be necessary for a young girl to need underwired. They do them in white, grey or black and about £9 if I remember rightly. Look more like a sports bra but double thickness cotton. 👍

@Mossstitch l looked on Tu but couldn’t find anything. I’ll have another look!
