Removable hair extensions?

I have rubbish hair. Heat damaged, colour damaged, thinning… feel a bit rubbish about it.

I want a makeover. I want to dye it a darker shade so stopping with the bleach, get olaplex
to try and mend what I can, and I’d like hair extensions to give me some thickness. Not loads- just a little bit extra.

Given the damage already done to my hair though, I am wary. I am wondering if removable hair extensions might minimise hair breakage? That way when I want to just bung my hair in a ponytail I can leave them out, but when I want to look nice I can clip them in.

Are there high-quality undetectable (or v.nearly undetectable) clip-in hair extensions a thing?

And if so, where can I buy them please!

Thanks

Halo extensions

Thanks! I’ve googled this and getting lots of hits- looks like just what I’m after! Just to check I understand, is Halo a brand? Or is it a type of hairs extension?

Also, what’s the best way to do it, do I buy the extensions off the internet and ask a hairdresser to match the colour? Or should I buy them through a hairdresser?

I don’t actually have my ‘own’ hairdresser at the moment as my salon sadly closed last year and my hairdresser emigrated :-(

Milk and Blush clip ins are lovely, the clips are very discreet.

A halo is an extension attached to a loop of fishing-line type material which sits of top of your head like a crown. You pull through the top layers of hair to conceal it. It's good for your hair because it doesn't tug, clip-ins however are basically suspended from small sections of hair, and have the potential to cause breakage and/or bald patches. Clip ins are the most damaging of all extensions because they don't distribute the weight of the new hair at all well. From a damage-prevention point of view, you'd be better off either going with a halo or getting them put in properly at a salon.

Look on Amazon the options are amazing. The choice first of all is synthetic or human hair.
Then it's clip in pieces or halo hair.
I've got clip in and I'm going to try halo as well. Just match your own hair colour a good brand will have lots of colours to choose from.

With the Halo extensions, isn't it uncomfortable to have the extensions on such a thin line with the weight on top of your head?

I second halo extensions

Theres a knack but they are incredibly lightweight and it doesnt feel any different to wearing a thin hairband or clip. Probably less. I love them, i have loads! Turns my thin limp hair into a big bouffy mane!

Does anyone know where I can get good quality synthetic halo extensions?
