If you were buying a mulberry bag today which one would you get?

I’ve dug out a few of mine and fallen back in love with them again but it’s got me eyeing up the new ones!

Since Mulberry was bought by the Ongs in early 2000s the quality has dropped considerably. The brass just isn't ... the leather looks fake... the straps aren't robust. Only consider old school Mulberry. So sad to see an iconic UK brand be dropped so majestically.

Ive had an Anthony and an (old style) mini Bayswater in the past. But at current prices you’re really paying for the brand rather than the craftsmanship.

Husband just bought me an oxblood Bayswater for my birthday. I love it.

Try it with a felt bag liner. Gives it more structure and stops it all flopping and collapsing in on itself!

I'd love a pale blue Bayswater but it would be completely impractical and wouldn't get used enough!

A well-loved second hand bag is better than a cheap counterfeit. I’d get an old scotchgrain crossover bag, with the tartan lining.

I was with family & between us we bought hundreds of £ worth of bags, clothes, trainers so we got a good deal. Also as end of season there they were selling off to get rid.

I've got a few mulberry bags but my favourites are my blue Anthony which is sturdy and practical and my mini Bayswater backpack which I also have in blue. I currently have my eyes on a tote.

I have a few bought around 15 years ago. The new bags seem lighter. I would buy an older one.

Ooh I’m intrigued. My Bayswater (old school one) keeps collapsing on itself, any recommendations for a liner??

On another note can anyone recommend a product to polish the black Bayswater?

@MabelMoo23 I have a liner from handbag angels and also a cheap one from Amazon.
I use the Collonil gel to clean/nourish my bags.

I have a vintage oak brown Somerset hobo which I love with a passion. Not sure I’d ever buy new; a friend got a new racing green Alexa for a big birthday for about £1200… it looks absolutely nothing special at all.
