Best hair removal for dotty legs

Not sure 'dotty legs' is the best description, but if you've got the same legs as me, you'll know what I mean.

Even straight after I shave I don't have perfectly clear skin on my legs, I always seem to have a spot where the hair follicle is. I am pretty pale, but not particularly dark haired.

Would waving or epilating still leave the dot? I don't really have the budget for ipl or laser, but would get an epilator or a wax if it solved the issue.

Following as unfortunately I know exactly what you mean by dotty legs!

I used to have this. With home waxing the hairs would break instead of coming out at the root, still leaving a dot. Professional waxing was hit and miss, trying to calm the skin down afterwards, some ingrown hairs etc. I had very thick black hair.

I did laser a few years ago - best thing ever, no more black dots, just smooth skin. I know you can't afford now but it's worth saving up for.

Sorry to say, that I think IPL or (even better if you can stretch to it) medical grade laser would be your best bet.

i also have the same problem and despite waxing and epilating for years, nothing really worked.

after having laser on my bikini and underarms I saw the difference it made to my bumpy, strawberry skin so I got a home IPL machine to do my legs. It’s not as good or as permanent as laser but it’s making a big difference so far. (And of course it’s a lot cheaper than laser!)

According to the internet, it's best to do laser hair removal, but if you're not able to, hair removal cream is your next best bet.

The hair needs to go at the root to stop this.

So, essentially, laser.

In the mean time, waxing, but that's a right pain in the having to wait to grow the hair first, then the ingrown hairs after.

I would (and did) stick laser on a 0% credit card. Full body and face was £1925 at skn

Lazer is the way to go. I'm halfway through a course of 6 sessions and my leg hair is mostly gone.
I got a deal at Therapie £400 legs underarms and bikini line. It is lots of money, but maybe save up?

In the meantime use the Palmers body aha cream at night. Should smooth the legs. And a vitamin C one in the morning.

Mine were fixed with a IPL machine. Best thing I ever did

Thanks all. Looks like laser or Ipl then. Tbh, £400 isn't a bad as I thought it would be. Boots have a sale on home ipl machines at the mo, so I might just bite the bullet. I know there's bigger issues in the world but I can't face another summer feeling so self conscious.
