Please please can someone tell me how the heck I can get those flat back studs in. They are so tiny and my fat fingers are just not cutting it. I've lost 2 already and they weren't cheap Sad

You could ask your piercer to do it. Or a tip I heard is to put a normal stud in from the front to use as a guide when you put the flat in from the back.

I too find flat backs very fiddly. I can't do it!

That's how I got my tragus jewellery back in - couldn't have done it otherwise.

Also, try wearing latex gloves. Helps you to grip the jewellery so it doesn't go flying!

No help for now but if you get push pin/threadless flat back post in, when you fancy a change, the front will just pull out and the new front will just push in. I've never attempted to change my forward helix (threaded post), too scared and would end up damaging all the good healing its done.

Labrets are a horror to get in - have you tried an insertion pin?

WanderingWildflower · 25/03/2023 18:20

@GoodVibesHere amazing, it worked and I got the back in! However screwing the stud on was still too fiddly so I gave up. Gah!

Will look into an insertion pin as that sounds ideal, thanks

I use nose studs in mine. The ones with the corkscrew type back, far easier to change!

Changingthegame · 25/03/2023 19:36

These hook type ones. They sit flush to the ear and don't fall out.

I have no advice but thanks for teaching me about this piercing!

I've never changed mine. I keep meaning to go back to the piercer and get her to change it, I need to shorten the length on my tragus piercing as well. I've given up trying to change labrets, they do my nut in.
