See attached DC's nose. Wondering if there is a safe way to get rid of the spots on the tip of the nose (bottom left of pic).
The Internet tells me this is all milia but I'm convinced the ones on the tip of the nose are not. Will regular use of warm compress clear these?

In my experience baby acne clears up by itself. If it doesn't seem to be bothering him I'd just leave it.

Mamoun · 22/03/2023 09:45

How old is your baby?
Baby acne clears on its own.
Don't touch it.

fruitbrewhaha · 22/03/2023 09:46

Leave it well alone. It will clear up on its own.

Wenfy · 22/03/2023 09:46

If you open her pores at this age she will end up with them causing problems like blackheads etc when she’s older - best to leave it.

Lastnamedidntstick · 22/03/2023 09:46

Agree. Leave it.

it will clear up on it’s own. Messing will risk infection and scarring.

why do you feel you need to do something about it? Is it just appearance or some other worry.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 22/03/2023 09:47

I cant believe this is posted in S&B. Live the poor bairn alone.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 22/03/2023 09:47

*Leave.

YoDood · 22/03/2023 09:47

Yes leave it. Anything else risks causing discomfort or even infection.

Hoppinggreen · 22/03/2023 09:48

Tempting as it is if you love a good spot squeeze you need to leave those alone
Save it for the teenage years when they will probably have some corkers that if you ask nicely (or bribe them) they will let you at

Shopper727 · 22/03/2023 09:49

i vaccinate babies, also a paeds nurse this is very common and it does clear up itself do not touch it, you leave it open to infection otherwise keep skin clean and dry and if there are concerns re infection as they can scratch themselves etc see your gp.

Darthwazette · 22/03/2023 09:50

My DS had terrible baby acne. I’m a massive sporner but left it well alone. It cleared itself up. I think baby skin is so sensitive that any kind of intervention would probably scar.

WhereAreWeNow · 22/03/2023 09:52

Leave it. My DD sometimes had this and it would come and go of its own accord. Babies skin have such delicate skin but it's remarkably self regulating. They don't need fancy lotions and potions.

davegrohll · 22/03/2023 09:52

They do look very tempting but never mess with anything on babies skin

Heard loud and clear. Thanks all for the lack of judgement.

This is a cute question 😁my son used to get a few spots and I'd dab a little breastmilk on them.

FormerlyPathologicallyHappy · 22/03/2023 14:54
