Lip filler question

Loopyloooooo · 22/03/2023 07:11

I have very tentatively been looking at lip fillers.

On almost all the before and after pictures seen, as well as lips obviously looking fuller they always seem to look glossy with a bit of colour. Is the glossy look a part of having filler? Does it stay for a while? Or it just people having gloss on for the after photo? 😂

Also realistically how painful is it?

No the practitioner's put lip gloss/Vaseline on as it's more aesthetically pleasing for the camera.

I thought it felt like a slight pinch, not to painful but everyone has different pain thresholds. You will also have your lips numbed first to help with any pain

Yes like the previous poster said, they put some Vaseline on afterwards and they're always a bit red from the injections at first hence the colour.

I've had lip filler many times throughout the years and absolutely love it, if you go to a reputable practitioner and don't over do it it can look amazing and very subtle 😊

Oh and it's a bit painful like a scratch, but doesn't last long. It's a bearable pain with the numbing cream.

Don't do it 😭 I've never once seen a lip filler look nice!

You will have seen people who have filler and you don't even realise because the practitioner has done a good job. It's more common than you realise but a lot of judgment people seem to think it's instantly duck lips and massive pouts when really it's not

It’s more than a scratch painful.
worse than Botox. But you know, I wasn’t crying
mine for arnica cream on my lips afterwards, so they look glossier

I found it horribly painful. Not an issue with fillers elsewhere but so, so sore for me on my lips and it hasn't worked. There is no difference (I wanted subtle). Practitioner has offered to do some more (free) by injection but I've declined. I had numbing cream and ice packs on beforehand.
