What should I wear with this dress?

Hi, can anyone help me style this dress? I'm thinking of a pashmina in a Lilac colour? I haven't a clue tbh. Should I go for nude shoes? I have silver shoes already, and a raspberry handbag? I don't want to wear a cover up with sleeves as the sleeves on the dress are big and would be bulky under something like that. Thanks so much

For a confirmation I’d put a trench coat over the dress and go without if it’s warm enough inside.

That dress is loose and flowing therefore more flowy type stuff on top will make you like a bag of washing.

When you take of the coat for dinner, the purple will seem more vibrant after the black.

Shoes should be dark- flats or kitten heels at most. Nude ones will make you look like you were styled by the Daily Mail
