I caused flyaway hairs all over my DD's hair

I trimmed DD's hair. When doing so I combed her wet hair with a very fine tooth comb. The cut is fine, but combing this way has created flyaway hair all over and she's now understandably upset. Is there anything I can do to make her hair look better? It is very fine and naturally wavy.

Is it just the way it's dried? Surely it can't have caused that much damage through one combing?

I'm sure it will be fine after the next wash, if you have some mousse or even hair spray just rub or spray on your hands and rub over the top, should smooth the flyaways until next wash!

I cut it yesterday and after I styled it we didn't notice anything. She's washed it tonight. The flyaway hairs are all over. I can see that the comb has caused breakage. I feel awful.

Ah no, could you try dusting the fly away hairs? If you Google some videos it should show you how to, or maybe a hairdresser's appointments to do it?

Try a hair mask?

Mumof1andacat · 20/03/2023 23:19

Hair mask might help. Really good conditioner. Hair serums after every wash and hair spray to keep the fluff down

After washing, rinse her hair in cold water it's supposed to close the cuticle and hides flyaway hairs.

Has to be done after every wash though.

Serum will sport that out.

Percy and Reed anti frizz spray is good for getting those hairs under control.
