What would you do with a one carat emerald cut diamond?

Old engagement ring. Never wear it because it's very obviously an engagement ring and also white gold and I only wear yellow gold now. Seems such a shame to have it sitting there doing nothing. Any ideas? Anyone seen anyone do anything interesting with an emerald cut diamond?

Also how do I find someone to turn it into something?! High street jeweller? Take it to Hatton garden?!

Louise at Honour jewellery in face book can help you, they do the most beautiful remakes and share videos of the entire princess. They can also supply other stones etc and I highly recommend them. It's a small business so there is that factor too, I think it's a team of 3-4 jewellers.

I would have it set into a pendant or maybe like the bangle posted above. However, before going for the recycling route I would get a costume cheap item in the same/similar style to try out for a few weeks.
A friend of mine purchased a custom length 10k tennis bracelet and it's too long and she doesn't like it. She got a cheapy from Amazon to test a shorter length and prefers the cheapy to the expensive one.

Thank you for all of the ideas!

Did the jewellers not measure the friend wrist? Most tennis bracelets can be shortened (and in some cases lengthened)

@Anonmousse yes they measured her wrist. The bracelet was custom made and and she wore it a few times that's when she realised it was too long and she doesn't actually like it. She could have it made shorter but it's not for her so a very expensive mistake.

I like this idea best

In fact I may look for something similar (though sadly don’t have a spare diamond to use!)

My sister got hers made into a pendant, she's very fond of it.

MrsOrange would you be kind enough to post a picture of you bangle? It sounds just what I am looking for.
