If you wear SPF on your face all year round...

Do you wear it on the rest of your body (parts that aren't covered by clothes) all year round too?

I (stupidly) haven't bothered much with SPF up to this point in my life - other than wearing the occasional moisturiser which includes it, and sunscreen when I've been abroad in hot countries.

I've become a lot more wise to the dangers of the sun, but at what point do you wear SPF on your body? Temperature wise?

Yes. Face, neck and hands all year round and arms too when it starts to get warmer.

I use the Nivea shine control spf 50 on my face and neck all year round.
I used to use Biore watery essence which was great for my oily skin but my skin is drier now so the Nivea is perfect.
I only do the rest of my skin in the summer. And usually spf 30.

I use a boots BB cream type. Or maybe it’s a CC cream. It’s goes in well and does reasonable coverage of my skin cancer scar - as above.

Is this as well as or instead of a separate SPF? I've probably picked you up wrong and I'm sure you know, but the amount of SPF in makeup isn't generally enough to provide the protection listed.

OP, I don't tend to wear SPF elsewhere on my body 95% of the time, but I do live in a particularly wet and gloomy part of the UK. I wear facial/neck SPF daily because I use actives on my face so need the extra protection, and even then tbh I don't wear it in winter when it's dark when I get to the office and dark when I leave. I would probably wear SPF on the exposed areas of skin if I was outside for more than about an hour and the sun was strong. You can look at the UV index to decide when you need sun protection, but realistically if it's warm enough to just wear a t-shirt the sun is probably strong enough to cause harm.

I use an spf 30 moisturiser but only if I leave the house. Should I be wearing it indoors?

If you’re near windows or work in front of a computer, I’d say yes. But, you’ll get mixed opinions.

I use the PCA Skin Weightless broad spectrum SPF on my face every day all year round. It's brilliant, not greasy at all and doesn't clog my pores or give my face a white cast.

I do try to remember the backs of my hands, but with hand washing throughout the day I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time. How do those of you who ensure your hands are protected actually do this, when surely you wash your hands with soap and water multiple times a day?

I have it by the front door, in the car, on my desk, by the sink, in my handbag and just put it on my hands whenever I remember. I quite like the face spray ones for the backs of my hands. My favourite is the Ambre Solaire over make up spray.
