Inspired by the incredible force of nature that is Stacey Solomon this morning I goofed every single item from my wardrobe onto the bed and worked through into charity / vinted / keep piles.

It was great and I now have so much more space and hopefully a few quid over the next couple of weeks.

HOWEVER I am struggling with my scarf collection. Back in the 2012 era and when kids were babies / toddlers I gathered a beautiful collection of scarves and wore them a lot. I haven't worn them for years as I think they make me look dated but they all bring me joy still!

They're also been useful for various fancy dress for adults and kids!

So should I
a) make the effort to wear them and sod what they look like
b) say a prayer of thanks for their service and bin the lot of them
c) keep a few (but which ones!)
d) option d I have yet to invent...

Help me oh wise ones

I got rid of all of mine when I noticed that in my lanyard photo that was taken about six years ago I was wearing one and it looked so unfashionable.

I got rid of my extensive collection several years ago, keeping just one or two for snowy days but have started hankering for them again more recently. Maybe we’re due a scarf resurgence?

They're nothing fancy

I've also got a couple of 'house' scarves!

See this is what I'm worried about! I'll dump the lot then next season all the young'uns will be wearing them. That's what happened with my bootcut jeans!

I wouldn't keep any of those, sorry. None of them are striking and I don't think any look like they would be flattering.

I would keep them. I guarantee you at some point in the future you will regret it if you get rid. They won't be taking up much storage space.

I know what you're thinking op. I have so many that over the last few days I did a major cull.

I kept a few (6 eek) neutral silky ones. I tie a knot by bringing the ends together on both sides and they turn into a great cover up/cardi type thing for hols. Take up no room either.

Two rather large heavy ones for Winter. Two smaller heavy soft wooly ones for Winter, that's four.

Three gorgeous chiffon that I use(d) for shoulders at weddings. Yep the dreaded pashmina look, but hey, they did the trick.

One of my late mother's silky scarves like the Queen wore. Just for sentimental reasons.

If I need to add to my collection I'll buy when abroad, they do have some brilliantly coloured and patterned ones. Not expensive and no weight for the cabin bag.

BTW I gave about twenty to the local Cancer charity shop. OMG how did I have so many.

Is the third one in from the right from Missoni? If so I'd have a go at selling that one and donate the rest.
