Wrinkles deepening too fast?

I realise I'm getting new wrinkles all the time, but shouldn't it be a gradual thing that I don't notice particularly? The lower wrinkle on one side of my forehead has just deepened very quickly and obviously and I'm wondering if such a quick sign of ageing means some kind of health/skin problem like when people with serious illnesses suddenly get white hair?
I also have much more wrinkling on one side of the face while I'm not a car driver or regularly a passenger so I'm wondering if it's to do with the side I sleep on. I can't use silk/satin pillowcases in the winter as they're too cold.
Any ideas?

Well, how old are you? I would have thought by a certain age, ageing just accelerates. It certainly seems to have done for the older women in my family.

It definitely speeds up in your 50s. It quite shocking .

I don’t think ageing is linear. You get ‘ageing clusters’ I find. So can look the same for a few years then appear to age dramatically in few months.

From mid-40s onwards generally.

What I have noticed (looking at my Mum) it seems to level off a bit post- menopause.

So she seems to have not aged between 65-70 for example. So it’s not all bad but can be quite disconcerting.

I'm 45.
Seems like it's hormonal then if it levels off a bit after menopause.
I think I'm also starting to have a bit of a receding hairline and my face looks more masculine.

I know what you mean about the clusters because you can see it in other people, but I thought maybe it means some kind of health issue at that particular time.
