Bras for small of band size. Where to go?

I'm taking my daughter bra shopping tomorrow. Where is good for those with a small band size? She measures about 26 inches under her bust. There is a bravissimo where we are going. I've not been to one of those before. Are they expensive? I don't want to spend loads on bras for a 14 year old. They need to fit and be comfortable and not cost too much because she'll need two at least. Also getting myself measured for new bras so she has done solidarity. She's never been measured and is dreading it.
Thank you.

Freya do some nice ones, again pricey, but you can also get them from Bravissimo.

My girls both small of back 28 and large of cup DD/E/F - used to get bras from Debenhams when they were younger..... so sad they have now gone. They also had a phase of Boux Avenue, but the quality is absolutely awful, they aren't that much cheaper and only last a year. They have never found anything in M&S.

I just had a chat with a bra fitter in M&S, and she confirmed they don’t do any bras bigger than a B cup in 28 back. C cup and above is 30 back as a minimum.

I asked why, and she said she’s fitting teenagers with 40Hs, and there’s not the demand for the very small back sizes. I didn’t argue (though I wear a 28 myself as a standard size 10), but said we’d go back to John Lewis instead, as they do sell one bra in a 28 C, and a few bralettes that also work.

Good to know about Boux Avenue, I’m happy for cheap bras that only last a a year for still-growing teens.

Seeing as M&S don't measure properly, it makes sense they don't have smaller band/bigger cup combos or any demand for them.

Everyone who goes there who would he measured a 28D, 30DD, 32E, etc would be measured 4inches bigger, and 4 sizes down in the cup, so their equivalent would be 32aa, 34a, 36b.

Until they start measuring properly, like Bravissimo/boob or bust, they won't need to change their sizes as they measure to them.

Ffs. I am a size 20/22 and wear a 36 back bra. That bra fitter is putting those poor teenagers in badly fitting bras and that's supposed to be her job!

They can only put you in the bras they have/are available though. Boob or bust measuring puts Dd in a bra size that doesn't exist anywhere we can get to if at all.

What does boob or bust give?
She might fit a sister size

I can't get my boob or bust size on the High Street so I order online. I won't go to a shop and think "oh they only do this so I best get this instead"

It's like not being able to find size 3 shoes on the high street - you would order online, not take the size 5s because that's all they have.

This shows sister sizes and how cup size differs depending on back size

Think dds last bras were from amazon
She's wearing soft pull on bras just now even though she has a large cup size as she prefers having no underwire

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz shoes don't have sister sizes though. She's very happy with the bra from VS and it fits well and causes her no sensory issues so that's all that matters. She's not got big breasts and she feels comfortable and supported. It's such a shame that small back sizes aren't more readily available but then looking at Dd compared to a lot of her school year she's very petite in general.
