My cheeks feel (and look windburnt). What cream (?) would help

So, as the subject line states, my cheeks feel wind burnt at times, kind of hot, tight, stingy (or more like sparkly in a way). This is any time, not just whenever I'm outside or cold.

What face cream/ heavy duty moisturizer would help? My beautician mentioned this at a facial but she only sells dermalogica and I'd like other options.

They look a little red too and when I look closer I can see little red veins though they're not v prominent.

I'm early 40s. Skin quite good apart from these areas on my cheeks

Could it be rosacea? My rosacea flares up in extreme weather (very hot or very cold) and gets that "wind burnt" feeling - quite sore and chapped feeling but not just when I'm outside.
I saw my GP and was prescribed azelaic acid cream (15%) which has helped a lot. I use Cetaphil cleanser, La Roche Posay serum and moisturiser and Cetaphil night cream.

I found the Eucerin moisturiser really good and very bland, non irritating when I had a bad reaction to a facewash, the handcream is fantastic too I had cracked bleeding knuckles, cleared up almost overnight, it’s in 3 for 2 at boots

Cetaphil night cream and moisturiser for the day.

CeraVe

Skin food. Supermarket price but so good!

LRP Cicaplast for anything that ails you.

I have wondered if it's mild rosacea though the beautician didn't mention it at all. 🤔

Can I ask - do you use LRP intensive serum or a different one?

Thank you all for suggestions, I'll check them all out

Cetaphil cleanser somehow just completely stripped my skin and made it feel crusty and awful.
To fix it I've been using a squalane cleanser and the LRP cicaplast B5 that someone upthread mentioned. I can't recommend the cicaplast enough.

Dr Jart ceramidin, anything with ceramides to repair your skins barrier.

LRP Cicaplast is the best unguent I have discovered for managing my sometimes grumpy red skin.
When I put it on I like to imagine all the skin cells on my face collectively making a chorus of groans of pleasure similar to what I do when I get into bed at night and my husband has put my electric blanket on half an hour previously.

I liked Eucerin too

Aloe Vera gel is magical for actual windburn so might be worth trying.

ChiaraMontague · 14/03/2023 09:54

I use LRP Rosaliac Intense Serum and switch between LRP Rosaliac Legere and Riche moisturisers depending on the weather - I use the Riche version when it's really cold outside and the Legere one the rest of the time.

LRP cicaplast has the most recommendations but this one has decided me 🤣

Thank you all for your input

Surely the answer for nigh time is Elizabeth Arden 8 hour, with royal(ish) penis endorsement?

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 14/03/2023 13:03

The REN Ever calm overnight recovery balm has been a godsend for me.

I actually use it for the day time too. It's not cheap but often on offer at M&S.

🤣 I can see their new ad campaign capitalizing on this endorsement!

Also, LRP do a Cicaplast with spf 50 in, for if you have iffy skin bits and still want to use it in the day but normal spf feels a bit spiky.
