Tanning drops

OK - I know I'm out of touch and I don't want to hijack the other thread but can you talk to me about tanning drops please! These sound like a product I need.

I'm tired of being ghostly pale - I am the archetypal celtic colouring, very pale but warm skin tone and reddish hair. I also don't tan naturally and burn very easily. I don't wear a lot of make up either. I tend to mix some custom blend mineral foundation powder with my moisturiser as a base but my skin is getting drier as I get older and this is working less well.

Most self tanning products are awful on me - much too dark and too "brown" if that makes any sense even those designed for fair skins.

I used to use an Almay gradual tan which worked really well and gave me a hint of colour but I haven't seen it for years.

So any recommendations please?

The M&S ones recommended by Sali Hughes (do a google search).

I never got on with tanning drops (only tried tan luxe though to be fair) but I LOVE the Dove gradual tan, really natural and long lasting x

I am pale with rosy.thin skin complexion and most makeup makes me look bruised or odd.
I use Clarins drops, perfect for my cool to neutral skin tone.

Here's what I do:
For both face and neck a 2 pence sized blob of moisturiser in my pal and then squeeze three drops into it and mix it up with my finger.
The Clarins bottle has a pusher at the bottom which eases out one drop of product at a time, so really easy to be precise.
Blend in to face and neck, taking care to add a sparser amount around hairline and back of ears. Pat to settle and then try not to go to bed or put face on a pillow for an hour.

I get a very subtle and natural glow from this.
If you want to up the ante you can experiment with one or two drops more - or less, it's your call.
It does not wash off when I cleanse, but gradually fades over a few days, so you can top up every few if you wish.

If you want to get it off in one go just use warm water and a facecloth and gently rub.
I have never experienced patchiness or anything negative with this. I love it to bits and live in fear of them discontinuing it...

palm not pal.

Thank you - I'll go take a look.

I've just had a drastic change of hair colour which is much lighter and closer to my natural so I feel even more washed out than usual.

I use the st tropez tanning drops, added to my evening moisturiser- they are good, a nice even coverage, don't add too much and do your neck and around ears. It helps just adds a subtle glow and I feel I look less exhausted.

Lumene ones are really nice and not too dark, I'm also of the ghost variety.
