How would you accessorise this dress?

I'll be wearing this dress as a wedding guest in a few weeks time and I'm anticipating cold/changeable weather. I wore the dress to a wedding last year with neutral/stone coloured heels and a blush pink pashmina, however I'd like a warmer option as a back up (I was frozen during the outdoor photos and this wedding is around the same time, early April, by the coast)!

I'm wondering whether this cape might work, or maybe a jacket (but what sort of style or colour)?

I like the cape and if you are going neutral that will work. OR pick out one of the greens and get a green belt, accessories and blazer/cape or short faux fur coat in the green.

I like the cape but it won’t offer much warmth. I think I’d go for a jacket, probably in the same pinky blush colour if you can find it, or a green. Those sleeves could be tricky in a jacket though.

Have a think about what you can wear underneath, eg, at the very least a half slip. Maybe a full slip, or thermal camisole.

You can always pop into the loos to remove your under layers if you get warm.

The slip is a really good shout, it hadn't crossed my mind as the dress is lined, but there's really no reason I couldn't add an additional layer underneath! I'll have to go to the shop (where's a good place for slips - M&S?) and try a few things on under the dress...

The sleeves could be a little tricky in a jacket (I have a burgundy wool winter coat that goes over it fine, a), so anything flimsy or too fitted is probably out as you'd see the fabric being squished down... but something structured might be OK? Just need to figure out what...

The greens

Bother. Posted too soon (I'm on heavy painkillers post op at the moment and dozed off)!

The sleeves could be a little tricky in a jacket (I have a burgundy wool winter coat that goes over it fine, as it's structured), so anything flimsy or too fitted is probably out as you'd see the fabric being squished down... but something structured might be OK? Just need to figure out what... I'd love something that I can wear indoors (AKA not the coat).

The greens aren't my cup of tea for 'block colour', especially for coordinating with my existing wardrobe, so I'm leaning towards pink for a jacket/cape, etc.

In my minds eye I can see some kind of structured jacket that could also work with summer dresses etc... I'd probably sway towards casual/something I can wear again with dresses over spring/summer as opposed to an out and out occasionwear look.

If this gives anyone inspiration I'd love some links/shop suggestions, please!

What about your coat or jacket just draped around your shoulders, I love that look and would get round the awkward sleeves.

Lovely dress!
I agree a jacket draped around your shoulders could look good. This type of jacket could be good, or a boucle style one, I’ve seen quite a few pink ones around this year, but it’s more a case of colour matching.
