Quick question about IPL hair removers

The 60 pound ones on amazon have the same reviews (some of them) as the 345 pound ones also on Amazon from braun.

They can't be the same, can they? Don't feel I could ever justify 350 quid but 60 would be worth a try for the odd black hair rather than doing full legs etc. Does anyone have any info please?

After reading up extra, I went for a Philips one. Not their most expensive, but still approaching £300. I am really really pleased with the results. But obviously can't personally compare with the cheaper alternatives.

I've got a Phillips Lumea one and it's fab.
I believe the bulbs that make the 'flash' which zaps the follicles aren't replaceable and each have a set amount of 'flashes' (therefore determines the life of the product) maybe that's something to do with the price difference?

They usually have that info in the listings

Just to add, £300 3 years ago was money well spent for me.

I'm pretty hairy and constantly suffered from sore itchy ingrowing hairs, holidays managing leg and bikini line hair were a nightmare and even getting goosebumps was painful.

Now for the sake of an hour every few months I don't even shave.

I've bitten the bullet and am doing a monthly payment on the top of the range Philips one, with an option to return is it's not working for me.

I've bought a couple of cheaper ones over the years but they didn't seem to work that well, and I can't bear the constant upsell if I go to a salon for IPL so I'm giving this a go.

I did look at buying cheaper ones, but got a bit disheartened as a lot of their good reviews appeared to be from people who were incentivised and were more about product arriving quickly and looking good, rather than if it worked or not.

But my hairs are on my chin. I use an epilator instead for legs - costs less than £50 and takes 10 minutes every couple of weeks.

Thanks everyone. A few things to think about.
