Clothes for a skinny baby

i wonder if anyone has any ideas where I could get clothes for my very skinny baby? He is on the 98th centile for height but only the 9th for length so is very long and thin. Clothes which fit on the length are far, far too wide for him and babygros look ridiculous and trousers just fall straight off him. He is only 2 months and whenever he draws his legs up they come out of the babygro legs and get stuck in the body!

H&m used to be good for my skinny ones. Tesco stuff too. But that was a few years ago x

From memory the babygros from John Lewis ran a bit skinnier than other brands.
Also M & Co.

Babygros without the foot part, so you can use a smaller size and put socks on?

My similar child wore footless babygros with tights in winter. It didn't seem to bother him having his legs up in the body though it was more my issue. Nighties would work well. If ever I saw long sleeved and legged footless garments I would buy them even if for much older DC as it isn't a problem that goes away. The other useful type of garment is a romper or dungarees. They are a nuisance during potty training but otherwise ok.

there’s a French(?) brand called petit bateau that were great for my super skinny baby, but I got second hand so not sure where to actually buy them from.

I found dungarees better than trousers, and nothing wrong with a boy that age in tights and shorts.

We also had this problem though not quite the same extent (DD was 75th for length and 0.4th for weight). We found Tesco, John Lewis, H&M worked quite well for us. Like pp above, footless with tights / socks pulled up also kept us from having to buy new stuff too often.
