It’s called Highgrove Bouquet. Something to do with King Charles.
I ordered a sample which arrived today.
So fresh and interesting.

Anyone bought from Penhaligon’s? Any recommendations?

I wear Duchess Rose and love it. I bought some recently in duty free, it was £152 so somewhat less than buying in the stores. I’m interested in the pp comment about the atomiser - I bought one at Christmas, if I take it into the Regent St store this week am I able to have it refilled?

Yes- if you have a receipt- mine was online.

HiccupHorrendousHaddock · 05/03/2023 14:22

My bottle of Penhaligon perfume is 6 years old and is still absolutely perfect. I find it lasts well in me - I can always smell it on my scarf for days after I have used it.

You get 3 samples for the postage price- again they dont always show on the website so Google penhaligins sample and go from there

Thanks for this tip! They don't advertise it anywhere but I was able to checkout. Ive ordered the scent library but wanted to try a few that weren't included. I adore halfeti but keen to see what the others will be like.

MaisyMary77 · 06/03/2023 18:02

I love Juniper Sling. It’s my everyday perfume. Luna is for when I go out somewhere nice. I love Iris Prima on a cold fresh morning. Ostara during the spring and Ellenisia in the summer. I think some of those have been discontinued now but mine are still going after a few years!
I don’t live far from Bicester village which has a Penhaligons outlet. Can often get a very good deal there!

JamBiscuitBun · 06/03/2023 18:09

I nearly ordered the freebie to see what all the fuss was about but it's 1.5ml and £5.50 postage! Shock

Rockingcloggs · 06/03/2023 18:20

I alternate between Empressa, Luna & Halfeti but Empressa is my favourite! My sister gets me scent and shower gel for both Christmas & my birthday!!

thelionthewitchtheaudacityofTHISbitch · 06/03/2023 18:25

I loved Malabah to bits but sadly discontinued. Not sure what would replace it. I hate the new website with the silly theme and games. All too pretentious for me.

CornishTiger · 06/03/2023 18:32

I used my scent library today after being inspired by this thread. I used the Bleinheim bouquet. I liked it initially but it didn’t last. Bit disappointed tbh regarding staying power.

Has anyone got the travel atomiser? I’d like it to decent my everyday perfume to. Will it work in the same way with a Lancôme one?

You can add more than 1, I added 3 different ones.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 06/03/2023 20:41

Thelion, this is probably really obvious but have you tried elizabethan rose? It has similar notes- rose, grapefruit, spice.

evtheria · 07/03/2023 10:40

Encouraged by the OP, I ordered a sample of Highgrove Bouquet.
The first few minutes were pleasant, though I felt slightly too 'heady floral' for my taste. Then it softened into something reaaaally comforting and country-like. It reminds me of my aunt, she has very spring-like country decor and this is what her rooms smell like. It's green Laura Ashley wallpaper in perfume form.

I also got a sample of Legacy of Petra along with it, and that one is bewitching! Not my usual style but I am really enjoying sniffing the little spot on my wrist where I've tried it.

MissBattleaxe · 07/03/2023 10:45

I quite like some Penhaligon's, especially the lovely bottles and presentation, but I'm afraid I'm totally priced out, which makes me a bit sad. I wish they did a travel size or something. I have a discovery set but I'm afraid to get attached to nay of them!

BaconAndAvocado · 07/03/2023 13:19

MissBattleaxe this would be my concern if I order the discovery set!!

I love empressa and halfetti! Amazing brand.

Coconut80 · 07/03/2023 19:30

Inspired by this I have ordered a sample of Highgrove,I will report back. Thankyou x

Babymamaroon · 07/03/2023 19:41

This sounds interesting - I must try a sample!

I have Quercus which is really fresh and Halfeti EDP, which is incredible.

Is Highgrove Bouquet suitable for men as well? I'm looking for a fragrance for my son's 18th birthday.

Im not sure if a man would wear it.....I don’t think my 16yo would like it. He wears Dior Sauvage and YSL Y, very popular aftershaves I guess, which are extremely different to Highgrove Bouquet.

Thanks… I noticed that it was marketed as being unisex, but as it’s described as floral thought it sounded most suitable for women.
DS does wear penhaligon but I don’t know if he has any favorites or which ones are best for men.

Azerothi · 07/03/2023 21:52

I also got the free sample (for £5) from Penhaligon's for Highgrove and ordered a full size on the back of it last week. I also have Luna but love the Highgrove,

Eaumyword · 07/03/2023 22:31

I so miss Violetta - wore that for years ☹ Such a beautiful soft powdery violet scent.

Never BUY in a store
They DONT have any offers

The sale assistants in the Liverpool branch are excellent and knowledgeable. They have told me that they always match the online offers in store.

Have you tried Guerlain Après l'ondee? It's very similar. I actually prefer it as it's much gentler. Not quite as sweet but still the soft powdery violet.

Eaumyword · 08/03/2023 08:56

@So1invictus that sounds lovely - must give that a try!

TheDanceOfTheTomato · 08/03/2023 18:55

£5.50 for up to 3 samples sounds like a lot but when you break it down to cost per ml, it's not far off the price of some of the 'cheapest' bottles of Penhaligons and cheaper than most of the gift sets.

e.g. 3 samples = £1.20 per ml
The miniature bottles mixed set = £40 for 5 x 5ml = £1.6 per ml
30 ml Orange Blossom = £2.16 per ml
100 ml Orange Blossom = £1.20 per ml
100 ml Highgrove Bouquet = £1.55 per ml
