A decent pair of loafers. They are proper comfy and I feel very smart in a slightly middle class way. Like I'm the sort of person who dresses for dinner. They are not the most beautiful shoe but I needed something inbetween.

What have you bought recently that you never bought before?

Clinique black honey lip balm - have decided my lips don't suit lipstick so tinted balms are the way to go.
Also jojoba oil to use as a night moisturiser and for hands/nails. So far, so good.

A floor length oyster pink Ghost bridesmaid dress from Ebay, which is high in front and lined, and which I will wear with brown Converse and a leather jacket to the pub when the hot weather comes. Rocking it.

I love that idea too, though the reality is, unfortunately, far different! My and my peri-menopausal skin would most definitely have been taking a rest from the makeup on the weekend! 😂

Burts Bees tinted lip balm in black dahlia is a good dupe for Clinique black honey.

I've just bought the Revolution dupe of the Jones Road balm in Sunkissed nude. I wasn't expecting much from it tbh but for £5.99 I'm happy with how it works as a slightly glowy highlighter instead of a full beam glittery type ( which seems to be the industry standard).

I'm sure the equivalent is mixing some blusher with some Vaseline but honestly I'm happy to pay a fiver to not have to bother with it myself.

It's almost always out of stock but I just found some in Balham Boots and bought all of them. It works so well! Speeds up your blow dry but also make everything smoother and more professional looking at the same time.

@Calphurnia88 the woman on the Clinique counter said it looks like your own lips but better. This seems pretty accurate for me - I'm pale skinned with brown hair and eyes and I think it suits my skin tone.
It is quite expensive for a lip balm though, so I will have a look at the burts bees one too.
I also really rate the Dior lip glow balms - the pink is really lovely.

Also just bought the Too faced Sweet Peach eyeshadow palette - I genuinely like every colour in it

Clinique foundation. My skin is very angry and red sue to an autoimmune flare up, and this has given me the confidence to leave the house. I love it.

Some mom jeans. I know I'm massively behind the times and they're probably really unfashionable now but I'm surprised by how much I like them. They look great.

Levis jeans! I've never owned any before. Got a drawer full of jeans that aren't right, don't fit properly, uncomfortable, make me feel fat, you name it. I ordered two pairs from Levis, a low-rise pair of blue bootcut and a washed black skinny I don't give a fuck what's in or out, I just wanna look good and feel comfortable) and OMG, they fit like a glove and make me feel slimmer and confident. I couldn't believe it. It's been several years of unsatisfactory jeans due to a bit of weight gain.

Also some heavyweight cotton jumpers from a company called Paul James, a Google punt as never heard of them, but the quality is amazing. Arrived today and I've just been back for one more. Will be perfect when it's not cold enough for wool but not T-shirt weather.

Just wanted to say I bought the Burts Bees lip balm after reading this thread and it's really good. I've tried Clinique black honey before and I do think this is similar and definitely worth it for the low price.
I found it on Amazon for just under a fiver and it came today. Although I could only find one called Red Dahlia which looks quite red in the photos but reviews said it was darker and having just tried it it is a dark sheer tint. Not a really obvious lip colour but more than a lip balm. Just enough to compliment your face if you know what I mean
