DS outgrown all available school trousers- where next?

Sorry, not really style or beauty but clothing related anyway.

DS is v tall and skinny and still has a year and a bit left in school uniform. I've just let down the hems of his M&S school trousers which has given us an extra 1.5 cm approx, but they're not going to last long as he keeps growing, the bugger. I've just realised they are the biggest size M&S do (Next too). Ironically he still has the elasticated waists pulled right in - a proper beanpole. I was like that once <sobs>

Any ideas where I can find some cheap but not too nasty men's black trousers suitable for school uniform?

We bought men's suit trousers from M and S, in long length

The issue is finding men's black trousers in 24 inch waist and long length. They don't seem to exist. Ds also hates the crease down the front, none of the boys here wear that style, so it adds another layer of difficulty.

I have found bnwt on vinted on paid of the Asda skinny jean style in 17-18, I will just need to keep hunting and hope I can find another pair of those!! We still have 3 years at least of secondary left so I hope he fills out a bit and doesn't grow any taller to fit standard sizes soon.

Did you solve this problem and find something for him? My tall skinny ds needs new trousers and the 16-17 is too short now. Until now Asda were the best fit, at £16 for 2 pairs I'm not going to get that anymore!

We've tried:
Next extra long - far too big at the waist. They do slim waist but not in the longer length.
M&S extra long - all have a crease down the front which is an absolute no-go apparently, and they were very baggy on the bum with the waist pulled in.

He's 13, 6ft 1" but very lean. In men's sizing he would need 24 or possibly 26 Long skinny fit which I'm struggling to find anything suitable.

Yes I did! Thanks to another thread started by someone else on here, I ordered John Lewis school trousers. Unlike the M&S ones, they get longer in the leg as you go up a size. I can't remember the exact ones but I think they were slim fitting or something like that. They weren't the super skinny kind.

For joggers I bought (thank you MN) from Uniqlo for DS1 (24 inch waist, 5’5”). He has ladies XS but if you need more height might Uniqlo men’s work? Lots of complaints there that the biggest waist is 33’’!
