Brows - what to do?

So I am getting an inkling that those massive dark brows of the past 7-8 years might be on their way out. I overplucked in the early 2000s as a pre-teen and I have to pencil in my brows but lately they seem to have grown back a bit but with bald patches. I'd like to get microblading maybe to fill them out but I don't want them too full or dark. What is "right" for eyebrow shape/size (I'm in my mid-thirties), will microblading actually help, and what should I ask for if I went to get them microbladed? Is there a way I can get my eyebrows to look good without either spending hours doing make up or getting them tattooed on? I rarely wear a full face and I like things to be low maintenance. Thanks in advance for any advice! I like the look of the Princess of Wales but no idea what shape/style that is in brow-speak!

Go for someone that will give you your regular brows back and also remember that micro blading doesn't last forever so if you want them thinner or thicker in a few years you can do that.
Check instagram for their work. The person who did mine I told her exactly what I wanted (soft and well shaped but not heavily defined) and she recommended powder brows which pretty much just worked to fill in the patchy bits. She followed the line of my actual brows. I love them.
But just get a consultation with someone whose work you like the look of.

As an alternative, I used to use a pencil and recently swapped to Rimmel Wonder'Ful Brow mascara and it's transformed by brows, I can now achieve a more "fluffy" look compared to a pencil.

I get my eyelashes and eyebrows dyed and it is money very well spent.

Thanks all!
@Artemisty that's a good idea to check IG beforehand. Does microblading fade out as it wears off or does it just disappear one day, do you know?
@octoberafternoons I've been using a brown sort of felt pen thing I got in South Korea but it never lasts all day so I'll check out the Rimmel one, is it easy to use?
@DorritLittle I've had that done twice at two different salons and I just ended up with massive black lines of skin staining that doesn't suit my thin face, I'm reluctant to try it a third time!

It just fades over time. I'm two years on and it's still there but you can see it might need a freshen up before the year is out.

I have my brows laminated to address patchyness and darken, as said brows are much lighter than my hair.

It's always a bit much for the first day but they settle and I love them once they do. I've had lots of compliments on them. They look very natural and I like that it's not a permanent treatment. As others have said, look at photos of people's work before having anything done.
