What would you spend them on? I don't wear perfume or make up.
It feels like I should buy something big rather than whittle it down on toothpaste and shampoo.

Luxury makeup item you wouldn’t normally spend so much on yourself for? Such as Chanel or something, luxury with amazing staying power.

sashagabadon · 23/02/2023 20:24

One of those v posh io toothbrushes? I got one for about £80 half price at Xmas. Best toothbrush I’ve ever had! Highly recommend. Think it was the io4 so not the latest one

TwoMonthsOff · 23/02/2023 20:26

Hair straighteners or a styling wand?

TwoMonthsOff · 23/02/2023 20:26

Or a lovely pair of sunglasses 😎

Bluesclues1 · 23/02/2023 20:28

I’d save it until I next go on holiday. For some reason, my pre holiday boots shop is always far more than just the bottle of sun cream I’d popped in for 🫣

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 23/02/2023 20:28

Aromatherapy Associates Deep relax bath oil. Absolutely knocks me out, and silences my busy brain Grin

Alexandernevermind · 23/02/2023 20:31

I would be at the Dior perfume counter with those points - I'm not too far off, but if you don't like perfume, what about really good face creams? Hair electrics or your pre holiday shop, as above is a good idea. You could always save it for Christmas and do a chunk of Christmas shopping with it, but it'll be nicer to spend it on yourself.

Niftythrifter · 23/02/2023 20:44

could you bulk buy lots of your normal toiletries and then spend 90 pounds elsewhere?

monomatapea · 23/02/2023 21:05

Meal deals

Milany · 23/02/2023 21:11

I don't need any more hair tools. Funnily enough, a chunk of those points were from when I bought a Revlon One Step (complete waste of money for me!).

A new skin care routine might be a good shout. My skin is very, very upset with me right now so I don't even know where to start.

I have about €70 on mine & I'm saving the points for a Tom Ford perfume. I'm going to get Costa Azura which I love but have run out of.
I always intend to use them on myself and then end up spending them on beauty stocking fillers for dc so this year I'm not letting that happen & I shall have perfume!

What about a hairdryer?

Milany · 23/02/2023 21:13

@sashagabadon are they really that much different?
I bought a new toothbrush just before Christmas because mine died so I can't justify a new one but I am curious when I see crazy priced ones.

Definately spend them on yourself!

Just saw your post - I find Le Roche Poasy toleraine table v good

Milany · 23/02/2023 21:17

Le Roche posay gets lots of love on here. I'll have to have a look. My local branch only has about 5 of their products. I'm using the suncream and it's horrible. 🤣

I spent my last lot on some Elizabeth Arden 8hr miracle oil. £30. Can be used on the face, body and hair.

YesYou · 23/02/2023 21:18

Meal deals and magazines Grin

Milany · 23/02/2023 21:20

Is that the same as the 8hr cream that was famous in the early 00s? I remember trying my mum's and it was sticky and smelled a bit weird.

Milany · 23/02/2023 21:21

What magazines do you read? I stopped reasing them a few years ago when I realised over half of them were adverts but I did enjoy the articles.

TomatoSandwiches · 23/02/2023 21:33

With that amount you could aquire a range of CeraVe products for a decent beginners skin care routine and perhaps a good retinol night cream, L'Oréal do a good one.

Imo yes. Your teeth feel like you’ve been to a hygienist after each brush. Never had such clean feeling teeth!
i wouldn’t pay £240 but £80 or thereabouts is worth it

Milany · 23/02/2023 22:01

@TomatoSandwiches are cerave worth it then? I find the packaging confusing because it all looks the same.

I'm realising I have a theme of things feeling sticky or like they won't wash off. The cerave face wash was a bit like that. I think it might be me being weird.🤣

La Roche Posay and Avenue were both game changers for my 'cross with me' skin. The idea of using products that didn't make it (sensitive, with spots in my case) worse was quite the novelty.
I'd go for very lightweight stuff from either if you're at all tempted and keep your routine very simple.

The roche posay toleraine range is really good if you have sensitive skin. I love the cleanser and moisturiser. But they have different ranges for different skin types.
