Long summer dressing gown

I had a gorgeous dressing gown from next about 5 years ago. It was calf length and thin viscose. I lost the belt and chucked it (then found the belt 😭).

I can't find anything similar. I need something that is quite covered up so a good wrap over and pretty too. Most of the summer ones are shorts

I like the one hundred stars map ones but wonder what they are like and they are pretty expensive.

Some thing that packs well as I'd like to take away.

Another vote for One Hundred Stars here. Mine makes me feel very pulled together and glamorous and I take it everywhere with me because it takes up as much space as a pair of pants in a bag.

Jaipur Arts | eBay Stores

I bought one from this company, not expensive but takes a while to deliver.

I recommend Damart, I've got 2 lightweight ones from there which calf length, pretty and a really good fit with nice sensible sleeves which don't flap about everywhere!

cherrypied · 30/04/2023 14:51

@AClassicalElectronicDelight they are spot on and good value- which on did you get and would it fit a size 16 do you think?

YellowFleece · 30/04/2023 14:57

Lands' End do some lovely ones

Elieza · 30/04/2023 15:09

Habitat at Argos have blue and white calf length ones. £17 or thereabouts.

Elieza · 30/04/2023 15:10

Not Argos. Sainsburys duh.

AClassicalElectronicDelight · 30/04/2023 17:35

@cherrypied
They have hundreds of designs, I can't find the one I bought!
I'm a size 10 and it crosses over with plenty of material to spare, so should be ok for size 16.

I’ve just received a White Company robe as a gift. I love it - fine cotton fabric with a lovely design and kimono style sleeves. I’m tall and it’s a good length on me.

One hundred stars dressing gowns are so amazing! I look and feel sooo amazingly glamorous in them! In fact I'm off to buy myself two more right now! 🙄

cherrypied · 30/04/2023 18:55

@AClassicalElectronicDelight thanks off to look- taken with pink and leopards!

AlwaysGinPlease · 30/04/2023 20:28

@mscynical thank you, I've just checked out the gowns on Powell Craft and found what I've been looking for!

After reading all the recommendations for Cyberjammies pyjamas on here I bought a robe for my DD for summer - dark blue , mid calf (she's over 5'7" ) in a soft cotton (more like Modal)

She wafts about in it elegantly

EdnaMole · 01/05/2023 07:22

I loved the 100 stars one I bought but unfortunately as a size 18 it didn’t wrap around me properly..was really disappointed as they don’t (or didn’t at that time) appear to do different sizes, just “one size” Was such a shame as it was gorgeous.

Swallowdoubleandrunamile · 01/05/2023 13:33

I've been eyeing a One Hundred Stars kimono for over a year.
I've finally treated myself to the black willow pattern, hoping it's as lovely as PPs say.
Can't wait to swish about in it.

Another vote for 100 Stars. I feel like the main female lead in an Agatha Christie film when I wear mine!
