Tinted serum/moisturiser that's very light?

I hate the idea of anything heavy on my skin but I do have some blemishes I'd like to cover. I'm hoping for a slightly tinted skincare product as a halfway house but am overwhelmed by the choice, especially as I've never used anything like this before. V grateful for recommendations :-)

Try this - I bought it after Sali Hughes recommended it and love it.

Stupid question but do you apply with hands or brush?

Estee Lauder revatilising supreme is good. Its very neutral. Not cheap but lasts ages.

Viviennemary · 22/02/2023 17:10

Revitalising supreme cc creme that is.

Bit late to the party, but on the recommendation of a similar thread I recently bought the Boots No 7 Essentially Natural foundation and I really like it.
It's lightweight and sheer and nicely moisturising.
Their shade matching service is good for clueless people like me. It's under a tenner atm too.

I use my fingers but expect you could use a brush if you prefer. It is pretty idiot proof in my opinion!

Nude by Nature's Hydra Serum. Very "buildable" should you wish and I just apply with my fingers as it's extremely watery in consistency. Which is probably why it's so light. Word of warning: shake the bottle and squeeze gently or you'll get too much - a little goes a long way.
I've barely used foundation since mid-40s. Even good quality ones feel too heavy. I used a BB cream till I found this.
I actually find the cheapo Garnier BB cream to be the best for me. Has a nice finish to it.

I'm a recent convert to the Garnier BB... absolute holy grail product.

I use Bare Minerals - it's light and good for make up over it. Gives a nice natural glow to my skin.

I was just about to say the same

Discovered it recently, and thoroughly impressed

I use a bit of loose mineral powder over the top.

I do the same... little bit of Laura mercier setting powder and it lasts all day. Amazed by it, especially for the price.

Este Lauder Double Wear Sheer is lovely.

I second that L'Oréal serum. It's really great, light enough that you don't even feel its on but really gives a really nice finish and makes my skin look fresh. I apply it with fingers or a sponge and set with some translucent powder.
