Eyebrow Threading Newbie

IceIceBabyBump · 22/02/2023 09:05

I'm going to get my eyebrows threaded today for the first time ever.

I'm completely clueless of what to expect.

I have some very naive questions:
Do I need to take a picture of what I want (like you would with a haircut)?
How long will it take?
Does it hurt?
Am I okay to wear eye make-up?
Will my eyebrow area be red and sore afterwards?
How long does threading usually last?

Sorry if these questions are totally and completely dumb.

You won’t be sore and I wouldn’t wear makeup. How long it lasts depends on how quickly your hair grows back. If you want a particular shape you could take a photo with you. The procedure will take about 15 minutes.

Takes about 5 mins, no it doesn't hurt, no I don't wear eyebrow makeup when I go but all other is fine. Yes they will be a bit red for an hour or 2. Lasts about 6 weeks for me but Iv had it done for 10 years.

I just ask for a tidyup following a horrible incident when I went to Superdrug because my usual threading place was closed, it was Xmas and I was desperate. I came home with one and a half eyebrows.
Tidy up takes literally a couple of minutes and barely hurts but does make me sneeze!

Thank you everyone, I'm just back from the groomers and really appreciated the advice. I'm so glad I went and had them done professionally finally rather than me just hacking away at them with tweezers!

The lady suggested that I go for tinting next time to have better shape to them and make them 'pop' a little bit. So, next question: What advice do you all have about tinting? Grin
