If you wear perfumes do you wear them in everyday life or just for a date/night out/occasion etc?

When I remember lol

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 22/02/2023 00:28

Every day. On the rare occasions I forget I feel undressed. I have so much at the moment I don’t know when I’ll manage to get through it but have banned friends and family from buying me any until further notice. I wear different perfumes depending on whether I’m doing just ordinary stuff or doing something special.

QueefQueen80s · 22/02/2023 00:34

Every day! It makes me happy so why not.. When I was younger I saved everything for best, then turned 30 and went the opposite.
I also carry a cheaper spritz to spray through most of the day.

@ComfortablyDazed ohhh which one? The old Guerlains are magnificent. ❤️

Jardins De Bagatelle.

It is floral, as the name suggests, so not very fashionable at the moment.

I have a nearly full bottle that I am eking out. It may well not be discontinued, I just don’t understand how it can be commercially viable to produce!

I wear perfume every day, except, like a pp, when I'm ill. I even have one I quite like but was reasonably priced that I wouldn't mind discarding that I wear on occasions which I might associate with bad news iyswim. I find scents remind me strongly of certain things and times etc.

caringcarer · 22/02/2023 03:00

A light perfume during the day but heavier one on night out

OldFan · 22/02/2023 15:40

thanks ladies :)

I have a strong smelling Lancôme one that I am complimented on regularly.

@Oblomov23 Ooh what's it called?

@Fridaysgirl17 What body mist do you use?

I might make a few posts as the site goes buggy on me.

they nearly all come from Lidl so cost peanuts

@wineymummy Ooh, what're they called? Does the fragrance wear off quickly?

Everyday. It's part of getting ready

Deathraystare · 22/02/2023 15:57

Normally yes but I realise I did not put any on this morning!

Deathraystare · 22/02/2023 16:07

@JadeSeahorse

I love Bluegrass! Used to nick Mum's but had since bought my own. I also used to love her green tea ones. I recently bought one called Gingerlily. It is still in the green tea family.

MrsHGWells · 22/02/2023 16:16

wearing scent is a daily luxury that provides a lift to the day.

different parfum depending on time of year and mood - a fav is Chanel Allure, and Coco Noir, lasts for ages even wearing daily, or summer scent Clinique Edt or CK one, Daisy.

I find my preference has changed greatly over the years - with Allure being my ultimate fave. DH has the men’s Alluere - irresistible- same with Prada rouge for men.

OldFan · 22/02/2023 16:44

I own 4 perfumes, some I don't wear much at all.

Women's Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier (bought when I was dating someone who had the male one.) Don't like this one much.

Poison Girl - is ok.

Black Opium Intense- I think it smells kind of dated, not fresh, and tacky? Is it just me? I think it would age a person if one smelled of it. Its plus point is the fragrance does last. Maybe I'll combine it with something. Grin

Viktor & Rolf Midnight Flowerbomb- really like this one. Don't know if the fragrance lasts all that long though.

Have any of you tried some of the above and what did you think?

The male Gaultier one I think had something going on, but the female one is bland.

Everyday, I have different ones for different seasons though.

latetothefisting · 22/02/2023 17:13

Cheapy ones from zara whenever I leave the house
Expensive one only if going out to socialise e.g. for a meal/drinks etc.

AprilLady · 22/02/2023 17:13

Every day for me too. I have a good collection, and enjoy deciding each day what I’m going to wear. If I’m going to be in the office or spending a lot of time in enclosed spaces with others, I’ll choose something that is not too loud or polarising, but on WFH days I happily (over)spray whatever appeals - including expensive scents - that I can enjoy without worrying about offending anyone around me.

Today is a WFH day - have been thoroughly enjoying FM’s Une Rose. Not a subtle, office friendly scent, but definitely one that makes me happy.

AprilLady · 22/02/2023 17:24

@Sadlifter TK Maxx currently have Tom Ford Rose Prick at 25% off RRP, in case it’s of interest. Still not exactly cheap, but better than elsewhere!
