You can't wear makeup - what makes you feel 'done'?

Waiting for dermatology referral for very red rashes on my face which arent easily covered with makeup, and seem to be worsened by it. I'm also about to have a baby and would love to not feel 100% ugly as well as exhausted, stressed and emotional!

So far I've had my hair cut how it suits me and bought a couple of 100% cotton dresses and a few headbands. Any other tips for how to feel put together when my face is falling apart?

I rarely bother with makeup.
Salon fresh hair, brows shaped, nails and toe nails done.
It is quite rare I'd bother with everything on the list together though.

Feeling so much more positive after reading these, thanks so much all.

Sunglasses, tinted lip balm, earrings - yes I've been relying on these! Love my clinique chubby stick, thinking of getting one in a more nudey colour. Got prescription sunglasses but could do with non prescription for when I'm wearing contacts - any tips for affordable decent sunglasses appreciated!

Nails.. I'd love to be that girl but in reality every time I paint them I put off removing it and it just gradually chips off over the weeks, achieving opposite of desired effect

@NeverDropYourMooncup so many great tips especially the darker neutrals and green/blue. You inspired me to spend a gift card on this www.next.co.uk/style/st344999/c90915#C90915⁹ (apparently lyocell is a great material for eczema? Fingers crossed)

@silentpool I'll definitely look into LED treatment. Re natural mineral makeup powders - is your skin dry? I feel like powder would just highlight how scaly my skin is

Also in case its helpful, i have this cooling face mask - it's a bit hannibal but it's nice and soothing

I rarely wear makeup but this doesn't stop me feeling done. I feel nice when my skin is well hydrated and glowing. And I smell nice with clean hair ☺️

A really good colour on my top half that totally brightens my face - jewel colours and orange and yellow.

I rarely wear make-up. I don’t wear nail polish either, or particularly do my hair. It’s brushed but that’s about it. For me, it’s clothes. I don’t spend much - all my clothes are second hand -but I’ve got a good eye and I look very put together.

Jewelry (earrings in this case as closer to your face) and nicely done hair. Can you wear lipstick only? Or a tinted balm at all?
Good luck with the baby OP!

Re: sunglasses, I've found some good deals at TK Maxx over the years. I like that they label their sunnies with UV category protection rating too. Makes it easier for me to figure out what level of protection I'll get for the money.

I try not to spend more than £30 on sunnies because I have a bad habit of misplacing them. £200 sunglasses are not for me...
