Stress showing

HerbalTeaAndCake · 16/02/2023 22:04

Having a very stressful time right now as have lost someone very close to me. I'm exhausted with grief & it's showing on my face.
Any suggestions for something I can buy to slap on my face and magically make me look less tired? (Not botox)
Thanks 🙏

So sorry op, sending you hugs. Do you have time for yoga? Even a little ten minutes here and there. Can you get out for walks. Are you drinking plenty of water?
Meditation videos to help you relax and drift of to sleep. Writing all your thoughts/feelings down.

For external fake tan?

So sorry for your loss. In a similar situation I had some brilliant help at a Bobbi Brown counter. Some concealer for under eye shadows, an illuminating base, and a great foundation really did help me look less tired - with some good advice about blusher and lipstick. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is also excellent for brightening tired skin.

Another thought - if you are near a L’Occitane store, the Immortelle range is great, and they are usually very helpful about giving you samples. It really helps tired skin, and there is a reset serum for eyes which works well.

Ah OP. Sorry to hear your news. Flowers

Facial massage can really help invigorate skin too - when I can be bothered I use an oil ( any oil will do, even olive: I use jojoba) and just move my skin around, pushing up and back around the cheekbones and jawline, gently outwards from around the eyes to aid lymphatic drainage. I get a really good glow from this alone.

Hydrodermabrasion facial is a nice little pick me up.

I would start with a magnesium spray, and use it regularly for months, also epsom salt baths. Igniata 30 doses, (ask a homeopath), plus other things for shock . Massage, also indian head massage, as bereavement takes it's toll on the body. Reiki. Some blusher and lipstick. Elizebeth Arden 8 hour lipstick in Berry is a transparent red that gives your face a lift

So sorry for your loss ❤️

Skincare wise, hyaluronic acid will help your skins hydration and so should make skin look a bit plumper. Vitamin c should help brighten. I really like hydrafacials but it depends on your skin type?

An eyelash lift and tint and eyebrow shape and tint makes a big difference. A bit of fake tan also helps.

Make sure you are eating and drinking water and try to get some fresh air if you can.

Sorry to hear that @HerbalTeaAndCake when I’ve been through big life changes and stress has shown a lot on my face it’s usually relaxation videos/breathing techniques every day, fresh air every day, something nice every day like a lovely bath or a nice smoothie thing then make up wise I used something dewy like a tinted cc cream, cream blush just to give an illusion of health/glow etc until I felt better. Vitamin C serums are really good for brightening.

Hope things are easier for you soon.
