Long lasting perfumes with great projection

Out of the perfumes I own, the ones that have great projection are:
Baccarat Rouge
Le Labo Another 13
Dior Addict
Angel
CK one
L'interdit

I'd love some recommendations for some more long lasting perfumes that other people can actually smell!

There was a lovely long thread about perfumes about a week ago- didn't get hijacked, maybe have a look on that one too. Loads of brilliant suggestions.

Jo Malone Wood Sage and sea salt...my colleague wears it and there's always a pleasant but not overwhelming waft from her.

@LadyOfTheCanyon
I always love it when autocarrot sticks silage in, instead of sillage!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 16/02/2023 17:41

@DameCelia
Oh bloody hell Im usually pretty good at checking my spelling. Yes, silage is pretty apt in some cases!

rioseco · 16/02/2023 17:43

Black Opium
Most perfumes by Miller Harris

LadyOfTheCanyon · 16/02/2023 17:52

Miller Harris is a good call. Even Citron Citron goes on for ages at a good volume.

Owlcat42 · 16/02/2023 18:01

Tom Ford White Patchouli is super-powerful and very lovely if you like oriental-style perfumes

Cakey46 · 16/02/2023 18:14

I dont have allergies, I won't come up in hives but I do not want to be subjected to other peoples smells. I recently attended a male dominated trade show and the number of clouds of aftershave I walked through was unbearable! Please dont set out with the intention of inflicting your favourite scent on passing strangers. Most likely they won't find it as delightful as you do.

rioseco · 16/02/2023 18:21

I'm the opposite! I love smelling other people's perfume and often ask what they're wearing.

medianewbie · 16/02/2023 18:38

.

FindingMeno · 16/02/2023 18:44

Agree with Tom Ford Black Orchid, and Samsara.
Also, Giorgio Beverly Hills.

AnnaMagnani · 16/02/2023 18:46

Sat in an office once for a meeting with someone wearing a powerful perfume - went out and had steroids for the asthma attack she had precipitated.

Having said that, most of the Guerlains are fine and Samsara definitely spreads around a room

RaininSummer · 16/02/2023 18:50

I don't think it's on to wear such perfume to work. Fair enough if someone leaning over your desk smells it but selfish to waft everywhere. Imagine 4 people all wearing clashing projecting scents. Headache city.

soboredtonight · 16/02/2023 18:51

I find anything by Tom Ford stays on you all day. Even with just two squirts. It's very heavy.

Jemimapuddleduk · 16/02/2023 19:16

L’interdit rouge is amazing. On my wish list!
i love mon guerlain intense and shalimar

eatdrinkandbemerry · 16/02/2023 19:38

Black opium and youth dew

Alexandernevermind · 16/02/2023 19:46

I kind of agree with comments about inflicting everyone in the room with your perfume; it's a little like scent marking if you wear too much. 😉

jannier · 16/02/2023 19:46

broomers · 16/02/2023 15:06

Thierry Mugler - alien. It's quite a strong smell but it's the only perfume I've worn where strangers have complimented me. I'd say more of an evening perfume than day to day though.

Same everyone says it's lovely

This is my perfume! I don’t know anyone else who wears it which is why I love it ha.

I can no longer smell it, so I have to force myself to stop at 2 sprays. It’s good to know that other people can smell it though 😅

Do people still wear Youth Dew?

It was really popular in the 1980s. I remember I stopped wearing it as it would stain some of my white tops.

Cinnabar and White Linen were others that were worn a lot.

After all this time I can still recognise Youth Dew from a mile off!

TizerorFizz · 16/02/2023 20:39

My DHs aunt wore Youth Dew. We used to buy it for her for Christmas. She was born in 1915! Died in 2007 . It smells of aged ladies to me.

Anything by Acqua di Parma is classy. Guerlain are proper perfumes. Miller Harris too. I would not go all out overpowering. A gentle waft is better!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 16/02/2023 20:40

Portrait of a Lady lasts until the next day

Holidayqueen1 · 17/02/2023 18:46

I'm 49 and youth dew is my favourite 🤣
But I do call it my old lady perfume 🤷‍♀️

mintich · 18/02/2023 08:03

Its not about inflicting my perfume on a room of people, but if my husband is sitting next to me, I'd expect him to be able to smell it.
I've bought so many perfumes that I've had to bury my nose into my wrist to try amd smell it. That's on first application too, so no time to become nose blind to it
