Just that, really. I'd like to try a tubular mascara but don't know where to start. People who've tried it seem to love it. So if you are a tubular mascara user and love yours, please share the details here! Thank you.

What's a tubing mascara? As I've got older, my usual mascara migrates more. I need one that doesn't end up under my eyes.

Hourglass

No 7 stay perfect. I tried many others but this is definitely the best.

I use this. Its the only mascara I've ever had that doesn't smudge but comes off easily when you want it to.

Clinique Lash Power.

Every other mascara can get in the sea.

I love the small thin wand. I can be really precise and get to the end of every lash for a natural look and then build it up for some oomph. Stays put all day but comes off with a bit of micellar water on a pad.

Another vote for Clinique lash power. It doesn't budge, and doesn't irritate my eyes. Also their bottom lash mascara - I have almost invisible blonde stubby lower lashes and the tiny brush gets every single one.

schmalex · 16/02/2023 07:43

Hourglass here.

SprungIsSpringing · 16/02/2023 07:44

So how do people remove their tubing mascara? Just with normal eye make up remover or is there a trick to it?

OnceAgainWithFeeling · 16/02/2023 07:52

A proper tubing mascara slides off with hot water only. 38 degrees or above.

Normal eye make up remover shouldn’t touch it. The chemistry is completely different.

DameCelia · 16/02/2023 07:52

@SprungIsSpringing the whole point of tubing mascara is that the tubes release from your lashes in warm water.
Press a flannel or cotton wool pad soaked in hot/warm water over your eyes for a couple of seconds, then wipe off.
I'm sure the original tubing mascara available in the UK was called 60° by Blinc, but I could be making that up

SprungIsSpringing · 16/02/2023 07:53

Ah! And do you do that before or after removing the rest of your makeup. Or doesn't it matter?

ForSaleChesterDraws · 16/02/2023 07:54

Hourglass unlocked in the round tube. The triangle tube (caution) smudges. I’ve tried them all, from Essence to Clinique, Blinc, Boots no7, L’Oréal, Kevyn Aucion etc and it’s the best.

I just wash my face in the shower. Run the hot water over my face, agitate lashes to start the sliding off and then wash my face.

SprungIsSpringing · 16/02/2023 07:59

You've all sold it to me. I'm off to find one to order.... Grin

MaverickGooseGoose · 16/02/2023 08:04

I use benefit roller lash and love it, I think it's tubing.

It’s not.

OnceAgainWithFeeling · 16/02/2023 08:31

Tubing mascara is completely different to non-tubing. If it comes off with anything but hot water it’s not a tubing mascara.

Candlesamdyoga · 16/02/2023 08:34

Another vote for the Clinique here- purchased on the recommendation of MN. I find it weirdly satisfying to remove too

catfunk · 16/02/2023 08:49

Estée Lauder double wear (gold top) is fantastic, I've used it for years
For a really dramatic effect L'Oréal double extension beauty tubes (white and red packaging) is great.
I used to use no 7 when it had gold packaging but they changed the formula recently and it flakes off me really quickly now.

Galadriel90 · 16/02/2023 09:07

I've used all of them apart from hourglass so I can't comment on that. Best is Clinique, hands down. Worst is number 7. The L'Oréal one is a good budget option. Kevin Aucoin one was hugely disappointing.

WhereAreWeNow · 16/02/2023 09:12

I've got the Clinique one and the No7 one. Both of them are great.

WhereAreWeNow · 16/02/2023 09:14

Apparently Maybelline do a good one too if you want to try a cheap one first.

EL and L’Oréal are both Nestle companies. Lashes are important to me but not enough to disregard their appalling (and ongoing) impact on babies elsewhere on the planet.

OnceAgainWithFeeling · 16/02/2023 09:15

Maybelline is also Nestle.

Ampfuseblown · 16/02/2023 09:23

MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash is my absolute favourite. On my 10th+ tube of it now. Great skinny wand too.

Hate No.7 Stay Perfect. Irritating to the eye and sort of clumped around the base of the lashes making them look stumpy.

Kranke · 16/02/2023 10:49

Hourglass the gold tube
