Rubbish at buying shoes and sick of troll feet

Help me out please? I have a terrible tendency to fall off my own feet and now that I am often pushing a pram or wearing a sling I have accepted need for idiot-proof flats. Can't find any that aren't horrid though.

MrsBadger · 08/02/2008 17:55

ballet shoes? (I can't but there are those who can)

fleacircus · 08/02/2008 18:23

I can't either, largely on account of having hobbit feet but also because I can't work out how other people make them stay on. And also there are troubling implications of daintiness which my post-pregnancy physique turns into a horrible irony.

More details... not going back to work for a while yet so casual rather than formal. Not those flats that actually have a sort of narrow wedgy heel, I always fall over in those (am not a drunkard, I know I sound like one).

Try looking hereon pull down menu under Oxygen (can't seem to link properly) they might be too clumpy for your taste, but I like them.

pippo · 08/02/2008 18:43

Look on page 6 of Oxygen shoes. That kind of thing maybe?

Maidamess · 08/02/2008 19:36

these make a change from traditional ballet pumps, non?

DualCylinderCod · 08/02/2008 19:36

Schuh is a treasure trove - do show me all casual
these are cool, and these will stay on better than ballet flats but look as smart - they come in sequins too.

DualCylinderCod · 08/02/2008 22:18

yuk yuka nd yuk

MrsBadger · 08/02/2008 22:20

[sticks out tongue]

fleacircus · 09/02/2008 13:02

I like the Office ones with the strap - but they only have the blue in my size, I'm going to need to wear them all the time so need brown or black really. Have looked on Clarks website and am humming and hahing.

I am chunky at the moment, sadly, and style is too. But Converse? Really? Going to peruse Mrs Badger's links now, refuse to believe they will be yuk.

DP is singing DD a song about how mummy is ignoring her because I'd rather talk to a fish and a badger on the internet.

Oh, Mrs Badger, you are right and Odc is wrong and now I am happier.

Converse are very comfy.

wobbegong · 10/02/2008 20:36

I hate trying to find attractive but comfy shoes. Must admit I'm wearing my biker boots all the time now.

I'm doing so much walking at the moment, especially with a sling, that I'm wondering whether I should be forking out for some proper walking shoes. Cushioned impact blah blah. An investment towards working off post pregnancy paunch.

Can't decide if these are hideous or not though. Probably not what you're after.

Otherwise, Campers? Bit spendy but comfy and trendy at the same time. Creative and functional, the website claims...
