Has anyone tried one of these? I keep seeing them advertised on FB. Just wondering if they would be good for my 14 year old DD. She is a swimmer and is conscious of the hair growing around her bikini line.
She is not keen on waxing or shaving, so I thought this may be an alternative. I’m thinking it may cause a lot of skin irritation though.
Would anyone recommend this or an alternative? Thanks.

I was intrigued by these too so I read the reviews on Amazon, which I think gives a more accurate assessment of a product than the fb ad. From the reviews I decided not to buy one.

Isn't it basically just like sandpapering instead of shaving? That'd be a big no from me.

I bought a similar Amazon one to give it a go.
It does give a nice smooth result, but:

  • hairs grow back no slower so 12 hours later you already have stubble (if you have hair like mine)
  • it takes ages as you have to go in circles several times over the whole leg (and it's very easy to miss bits even when you go slow)
  • it's very easy to cause irritation. I did mine in the bath with plenty of hot water but that isn't practical every time. I think doing it without so much water would cause more irritation
For the price it's probably worth a go, but I would expect she'll be better off with a good razor in the end.

It gave me a burn on areas of my legs and I was no harsher than other areas. Ignore their money back guarantee- they want pictures and then you have to pay postage back to America.

It actually advises you to avoid sensitive areas like bikini line and arm pits.
