Aussie Weddings - Does "Black Tie" actually mean suit, cummerbund, bow tie etc?

Or does "black tie" in Australia just mean "dress up"? (Reception is in the evening in a posh members club in Melbourne, if that helps.)

I've heard that it seems to mean different things in different places.

Thanks!

I would say definitely black dress suit / bow tie, but no cummerbund. melbourne is quite conservative, and otherwise they would have said "dress suit".
