Product recommendations for fine greasy hair!

I'm looking to upgrade my hair care routine from head and shoulders and an old tatty hairbrush to something a bit better!

Would love any advice on the best shampoo/conditioner/hair serum and type/brand of brush to use.

I've got fine, gets greasy quickly hair that I'm sure is getting thinner (I'm 36).

I've got no idea where to start so any recommendations greatly received.

Get a sulfate free shampoo and wash your hair twice. I find this gives me a day extra of being grease free.

Ditch the conditioner, or at least reduce it to once a fortnight kind of thing and when you do use it only apply to the ends of your hair.

Buy a scalp massager (they cost about a fiver on Amazon) and with each hair wash give your scalp a stimulating rub. It might be my imagination but I feel this has made my hair that bit thicker.

If you think your hair has noticeably thinned it's worth checking your ferritin levels via a blood test. If it's below 70 that'll be why your hair is thinning.

I put bed head “small talk” through the roots before blow-drying, quick squirt of hairspray and then on the 2nd night a quick spray of dry shampoo. That takes me to 3 days per wash and it still looks good.

You know when people get all their hair chopped off for charity and there’s masses? I had 8” lopped off and it took up as much volume as a satsuma. 🙄

Thanks, some great tips.

Does anyone have a sulphate free shampoo to recommend?

Or a hairbrush?

I’ve hit same type of hair as you.
Dry shampoo is worth having. Living proof do really good ones but a bit pricey. I like pureology shampoo for a sulphate free option. You can buy both online somewhere like Look Fantastic.
I use a ceramic barrel brush by GHD to blow dry my hair (search hairbrushes on John Lewis for some good ones and you can read reviews)
