What the heck do I wear when it’s 5degrees and I need to be smart and no coat

For a graduation. Will be 5 degrees. Will be sat for at least 90 mins.

was planning on a dress and tights, will have my gown over the top but they’re thin. I won’t be able to wear a coat, or woolly hat. I’ve got a merino wool base layer but still worried it won’t be enough. Am I missing something obvious which I haven’t thought of.

I would wear lots of thin wool layers and have a drink or two before.
Are you one of those mad young things who is going to wear open heels and no tights? Then you are going to be cold.
(I always see them tottering around the cathedral on the cobbles on grad day.
Boots with socks and tights would be my advice.

Seen lots of photos from yesterday and they're all in stroppy sandals, thin dresses etc... not a chance I'll be wearing that for mine!

Just wish we weren't allocated to the January graduation group 😂
