Are light therapy masks worth it?

Have you noticed a difference and how long did you use it for before it was noticeable? I want it for general skin tightening and redness.

Which is the best mask to go for?

I bought the Dr Dennis Gross led mask about 18 months ago to deal with the signs of aging. Yes, in my opinion, it does work - my skin looks fresher.

It is more expensive than other makes but it is FDA approved and only takes 3 minutes a day. It is apparently good for dealing with acne and despite the cost, I would recommend trying the mask if that is an issue.

Wow can’t believe it’s been a year!
the MZ skin one is 10 minutes so of course it’s been mostly in a box. I’d go Gross based on time and likely to use. Beauty pie does a light mask that sells out very quickly that’s worth checking too.

Does anyone know if the light masks do anything to improve age spots?

Spring23 · 28/12/2023 18:24

beauty pie says ‘Results from the user trial featuring 50 women aged 45+ self-reporting at 4 weeks - 90 percent said skin healthier.
(The LED Mask was used 3-4 times a week, and once results were visible, used 1-2 times a week.)’

That’s what I’m using my CurrentBody one for, it’s good but long process. Easier to get a cream from Skin and me which gets rid of them (takes a couple of months depending on size etc)

That’s to @Allthroughthenight23 why doesn’t the reply button work??

Thank you - I'll check out skin+me, I've tried lots of things, including retinol, but nothing has worked so far.

@BanditoShipman is it hydroquinone? GPs can prescribe that too.

I have just bought the Dr Dennis Gross one from cult beauty, So expensive but there is a 15% off for new customers code so that took £70 off the price.
