Do you keep it? I got given a fancy jar of elemis cream and it's got a lid inside the lid if that makes sense? Am I meant to keep it and take it on and off each time?

@QueenSmartypants sounds like hive. The shelf life logo for 6M or 12M etc. will have been defined with it on there. Shive still seems common place for jars likely as a foil seal is a more difficult packing process. That said I always chuck it. As to butter paper whhhhhhhhy just doesn't make sense....

Shive. Thank you. That is a good word. It pleases me like it did when I found out that plastic tags that attach labels are called kimbles. The verb kimbling (to attach kimbles with a kimble gun) is especially satisfying.

I bin it.
