Underwear - where do you buy?

doadeer · 15/01/2023 20:01

Need some inspiration for new underwear. I have lots of pretty stuff but I'd like better day to day.

I like the simple style of skims but I don't want to buy from the kardashian empire. That kind of smooth comfortable underwear is what I'm looking for, not uncomfortable underwire or fussy.

Any recommendations?

Especially their full lace signature boy shorts

StarlightLady · 16/01/2023 08:39

I tend to wear Panache, Freya or Fantasie bras and buy 2 pairs of matching knickers (in different styles where possible) with a new bra. I like to feel co-ordinated and the quality is good and the bras suit my figure.

I don’t achieve the co-ordination all the time though and supplement them mainly with M&S Brazilians which l find very comfortable and wash well.

I wear Fallsweet seamless pants from Amazon. I’ve got the big high waisted ones. They’re really comfy and no show. Tkmaxx is good for seamless lower waist ones with good bum coverage. I get seamless bralettes from tk maxx too.

M and s used to be for me but they went rubbish. I use sloggi now

Me too. M & S only do horrible polyester/nylon etc cheap material now. Sloggi and British Boxers are good and cotton. I like the Japanese Laundry suggestion above - hadn't heard of them before.

TinyArsePhone · 16/01/2023 15:37

Handmade ones all the way 😍

(not by me, I'm not that clever, but from UK based micro-businesses run by women - Mardy Bum Boutique, and TCS Eco (who also sell amazing reusable pads) are my favourites)

rosyvalentine · 16/01/2023 20:15

Another vote for M&S Flexifit Modal. They come in a variety of shapes and are so comfortable.

schoolworries22 · 16/01/2023 20:16

M&S seem to have gone downhill. I rate nudea

Uniqlo for nice cotton knickers

Ilovesweets88 · 16/01/2023 21:01

Victoria’s Secret it washes well and lasts, well until your dog chews up your bra that is

Hector11 · 03/02/2023 18:03

Have you tried Stripe and Stare? Eco friendly, lovely designs, and reasonably priced.

mylifestory · 03/02/2023 19:48

Sloggi bt the sizes are very small

thedevilinablackdress · 03/02/2023 21:50

Entirely untrue - 90 results in the M&S website for (own brand) cotton knickers

Zipps · 03/02/2023 22:47

Calvin Klein and Sloggi knickers.

But they are mostly ’cotton blend’ now. The first in the link below is described as 57% cotton, 33% polyamide and 10% elastane lycra

Tiddlywinkly · 15/01/2023 20:33

Sloggi might fit the bill?

I’ve bought Sloggi for years. Not cheap but there’s usually someone online with a special offer.

Stewball01 · 04/02/2023 07:19

I wear sloggi but am not that in love with them. They tear in the crotch.

StarlightLady · 04/02/2023 07:35

l fail to see why some people see 100% cotton knickers as the holy grail. After all the processing it is hardly natural, does not keep its shape and has no stretch.

Cheesecheeserson · 04/02/2023 07:37

Men’s boxer briefs in natural fibers! So comfortable. Women’s underwear is not roomy enough.

thedevilinablackdress · 04/02/2023 07:45

True @Valkirie you do have to hunt for the 95-100% cotton in amongst.

One word @StarlightLady - Thrush

So not true.

I'm wearing the 100% cotton full pants as I type. I have them in black and natural. They are fine.

TollgateDebs · 04/02/2023 16:09

I buy from this company www.sandras-online.co.uk/ - ignore the front page pictures and they have great basic underwear including Sloggi and a few Sloggi alternatives!

TheYearOfSmallThings · 04/02/2023 16:15

Sloggi for pants, Chantelle for bras. In both cases comfort and fit are the priority, and of course my mother's advice to only ever wear cotton pants.
