Red, itchy, dry, sore rosacea help

I’ve come to the conclusion that what I thought was tret overkill is actually rosacea.

my face is burning all the time, as are my eyes, and only avenue tolerance balm isn’t sore.

what is the best treatment for this?

will I never be able to use make up again or it is just waiting for the flare to pass? I can use it cosmetics cc cream but it doesn’t last a full day and does look like foundation sat atop red flaky skin.

best skincare? Good resources? Can’t imagine bothering my go about it when they’ve so much more on { can use private video gp but depends if/what they’d prescribe.

thank you, I’m so clueless (and sore)

I sympathise. I had very bad rosacea for a long time ie decades. I found Dr Hauschka worked very well but I'd address the bad flare up first. I've heard people rave about Soolantra. GPs are generally not helpful as you say but try not to worry. I thought I'd have awful skin till I died but I have been able to sort it out.

Thanks, since posting I've seen that Dermatica offer rosacea treatment so I've signed up to them and uploaded some photos.

I think I need to sort my HRT out too, am sure that's something to do with it

Sea buckthorn oil is the best for roseacea. Dermalux treatments can also make a massive difference

@LolaMoon is that to use topically, or take the capsules?

Soolantra has helped mine, but as soon as I stop using it, the redness comes back.

Topical.

@Matchingcollarandcuffs how are u now ? X

I'd stop using anything else except CeraVe hydrating wash and CeraVe moisturiser. Don't even use SPF at the moment until it all calms down. After a month if it hasn't improved see the GP.

I am much better thanks, although have just had a malignant melanoma removed from have and awaiting further surgery and biopsy results so have paused my skin and me for now. I used the geek and gorgeous 5% retinol last night and their vitamin c in the morning, have researched then and am happy to use both for now.

The dermatica really did help though
