MAC makeup lesson

Hi,

I recently turned 50 and have realised that I need to change my makeup a bit. I don’t want to look younger and I dimly expect miracles, I’d just like some advice as to what suits me and how to apply makeup
to my changing skin.

I was thinking of booking an hour session at Mac. I’ve looked at YouTube but id prefer to talk to someone I think. If you’ve had a session, would you recommend it or should I look elsewhere? Ta!

Wouldn't choose Mac. I love some of their products but overall their look is quite heavy coverage and bold.

Quite honestly though I think how well a make up lesson goes depends on the individual make up artist. I once tried three different Bobbi brown counters for my wedding make up and only liked the third. They all did different things. So people will suggest all kinds of brands but really it will depend on the person so I reckon you should try 2/3 different ones and then take a view.

Counters you could look at are:
Bobbi brown
Charlotte tilbury
Chanel
Hourglass

I really liked my MAC lesson and with the money spent you could buy product. They asked what kind of look I wanted, natural, evening etc and wrote it all down on a picture to help me replicate it at home.

Guerlain are also good. And more ladies of a certain age I feel.
