Glaze gloss treatments

During lockdown I grew out all my hair dye so I now have shoulder length salt and pepper hair. Generally I am happy with it but would like my hair to be a bit glossier rather than dull

I’ve used the glaze clear conditioning gloss and really like it - these products

I do like the colours too and am tempted to give one a go as they supposedly wash out after 10 washes. I don’t want to risk ending up with colour that I will then have to grow out again

Has anyone used the coloured ones? Views? Would you risk it?

Hitching a lift on your thread here Grin
I have the clear gloss , but I'm thinking about trying one of the coloured ones .
The info does say it won't colour grey hair though so I'm a bit on the fence .My hair is wavy , menopausal , thinning due to illness (but hopefully recovering and I'm taking a hair supplement so fingers crossed)

I don't want to go darker or red but I feel the blonder shade might make me look like I have smokers hair ?

Condition wise , it didn't wow me but my hair is going through a really shite phase (and due to have some cut off soon so that should hopefully help )

I might try ShrineDrops maybe 'bronde' or caramel ? Mix in with your regular conditioner .

I've not tried the glazes but when I was in your position, I did a wash in/wash out colour and it stained my lighter greys/white bits. The darker greys were OK though so I guess it depends on your grey mix. I was everything from bright white to gunmetal.

I didn't use that brand but I did put a red gloss treatment on my darkish blonde hair. Left it for two minutes as just wanted a little glow. It came out patchy and BRIGHT fire engine red. It was quite funny in hindsight, but it looked terrible. I got it out in the end, but it was not good and I damaged my hair in the process of removing the dye and then dyeing over the top of it.

I use the coloured glaze. I have one shade lighter that I use in summer and one shade darker for winter. I really like how they give shine and the colour lasts well. It just perks up my hair without using chemicals. If I wash my hair twice a week I can easily get 6 weeks from one application. That seems really good considering a lot on this topic say they use box dye every 6 weeks

Haven't used this type but have used the cheapy super drug colour shampoos and also the Wella version.

I used to use a copper version until one of the juniors in my team at work complimented me on my pink highlights. The caramel/golden one works well though.

For context I am only about 30-40% grey on light brown hair. It helps me not look too washed out.

Can I ask about the Glaze, it is one application like a hair dye or multiple like a mask? I’m embracing my grey too and feel it needs some shine adding.

I use Glaze in Espresso every 4 weeks but only after I do my roots in a perm colour first and my hair is all already dark brown. It does do a nice job of making the colour super lustrous and nicely blended. You get several applications out of one bottle so it’s good value too. Although it does say on it that it doesn’t cover greys so not sure if it’s for you OP?
