What should I get DD to go with this dress?

For the first time in about 3 yrs I took DD out to buy some new clothes. She's not girly, doesn't care about clothes much and hates pink but she actually wanted this dress www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_58717_536974_-1 - we're going to a wedding so I thought it was OK and she does look pretty. But it needs something over the top - was thinking black shrug type thing (she'd refuses to contemplate any more pink!).

Advice please?

Gorgeous, a black cardi/shrug would look fab. Don't expect me to link you to one though

love it! would one of the grey furry shrugs around atm be nice? how old is she? she might like to have something like a small necklace too?

TurkeyLurkey · 04/02/2008 21:39

Ahh its lovely, is it white or pink - can't tell on my laptop? A shrug sounds lovely though.

OrmIrian · 04/02/2008 21:41

grey is a nice idea gigglewitch - a little less harsh than black. She's 8 and very tall and slim for her age.

It's pink and black design on white.

Now where to find a shrug - they were everywhere last year. Found one in the Monsoon discount store but it was pink

She has a rose quartz necklace that my mum gave her a few years ago - she wasn't interested them but might be now.

this any use?

suwoo · 04/02/2008 21:51

My dd has 2 black shrugs but they wouldn't be right with this dress. Is it for now or the summer? Does she need anything on her arms?

gigglewitch · 04/02/2008 22:05

Thanks.

The wedding is in the summer suwoo.

I like all those but I really want something a bit lighter perhaps with short sleeves. Maybe a ballet cardigan sort of thing?

Thanks lara. I did find one in the Monsoon seconds shop at Clarks Village but it was pink and DD drew the line very firmly at that! I will try on-line though.

hope you find what you she likes

OrmIrian · 11/02/2008 12:06

Found one. Monsoon in the end. A sort of dusty bluey grey colour. Very soft.

sounds lovely! Enjoy the wedding

PurplePillow · 11/02/2008 18:22

that sounds lovely

have you got a link so we can all see it

OrmIrian · 12/02/2008 11:22

No link I'm afraid. It was an end-of-line in the Monsoon factory outlet so last years stock probably. Thankfully DD doesn't care
